Urgent: hard to pee on tramadol?
I've bene told tramadol can damage one's liver, so my male friend SWIM is just wondering if it's normal to have a weak stream peeing, and to have a hard trying to start peeing, and kind of a weird sensation when he does. Swim took 2 50mg pills at 4:30pm, 1 50mg pill at 730, and one more 50mg pill around 8:30 or 9. Last night swim took 2 50mg pills, then 2 more 50mg pills 4 hours after that, and he also had the same experience peeing. SWIM would appreciate an answer quickly because if these are signs of liver damage he needs to figure out what to do, and if they're not he plans on taking another shortly as it's been about four hours since his last two

Re: Urgent: hard to pee on tramadol?
Its a pretty common thing, not just for tramadol, but for all opiates

Re: Urgent: hard to pee on tramadol?
Constipation and urinating trouble are pretty common side effects of opiate using, and those shoudnt be taken as a sign of liver damage.
But opiates could damage the liver, so please be carefull |

Re: Urgent: hard to pee on tramadol?
SWIAngryTP should strongly consider many factors over and above possible liver damage when considering titrating up one's dosage. If where one is at right now produces a pleasant effect, one should consider spacing out one's experiences time-wise before increasing one's dosage. That's a road one rarely turns back from once one goes down it. Take it from SWIM.

Re: Urgent: hard to pee on tramadol?
Have never heard credible hepatoxcicity evidence regarding tramadol (or metabolites). As for urination, that is a classic opioid symptom. Defecation is difficult due to slowing of passage (due to increased tonus of SI), & bladder loses voluntary stretch.
