cotton fever

ever get cotton fever? i did and you don't want it. It happens when you get a fine sliver of cotton fiber in your dope and then you shoot it. It takes about an hour to come on after shooting up and lasts for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You get a nice fever and you shake uncontrolably(also called "english shakes")and can't stand up cause your legs are shaking but can't really lay down cause you can't really breathe that well and don't call an ambulance or they'll hit you with Narcan and that's another horror in itself.The shakes slowly get weaker and then the fever breaks and you shoot up again, sick huh?

It's a real drag. You can take a hot shower and it will help, also take a couple of goody powders........................................... .............................................We also call it trash fever............................................. ..........................................

i have sometimes gotten trash fever that in addition to the shivering and fever was accompanied by a horrible shiver of pain up and down my spine that repeated about every minute or so for up to 30 minutes. i've heard that if you shoot up before the shakes get too bad it will stop or greatly lessen the symptoms. i've never been able to do that...the few times i've had trash fever it's come on so quickly and the shivering was so bad there was no way to shoot up until the fever broke and the shivering subsided.
