Effects of Tramadol when trying to come up on MDMA

Ok so swim took 200mg of tramadol last wednesday, again on thursday and gave it a break on the friday.
Swim was given a pill and a half and was extremely disappointed with the results.
Swim came up but not in an energetic way, could this have been down to the tramadol?

If the rolls are known to be good this WAS the tramadol...too bad swiy didnt research this b4 taking the roll (its okay swim wasted two rolls this way before deciding to do some pharmacology research).

tramadol has SSRI effects which will essentially kill swiy's roll. UTFSE or google SSRI's + MDMA (ecstasy)

what day was the roll taken? particularly how many days had it been since swiy had taken the ultram? Next time make sure to give it at least a week and up to two-three weeks if swiy had been taking higher doses of tramadol (200mg) for many days in a row. I think with only it twice in a row swiy would've been okay giving it a week and would have been perfect if swiy had given it two.

That sucks for swiy but at least they know better next time!

yeah sucks a bit really, swim hasn't got much tramadol left anyway so swim'll just finish it off and leave it at that.
swim like rolling more.

Many people prescribed tramadol (Ultram) are not informed by their physicians about the SSRI effects of this drugs. This can get dangerous if one is experimenting with such as dextromethorphan (DXM). Or just plain annoying if attempting to use MDMA or similar entactogenics.

As the above poster suggested - give it two weeks after cessation of tramadol before venturing with other substances that may have a reaction with an SSRI on board.
