Removing bad chemicals from seeds
I know that there are well documented extraction processes on here, but SWIM was wondering if only doing the first half of the extraction process would serve to remove all of the nausea causing chemicals. From what SWIM understands, the bad chemicals are nonpolar and the good chemicals are polar. So if SWIM were to crush the seeds and soak them in some sort of petroleum based fuel to dissolve the bad chemical, then throw out that solution and keep the ground seeds, wouldn't those ground seeds only have the good chemicals left in them. Is it necessary to do the second half of the extraction if SWIM is still willing to eat the ground up seeds?

Re: Removing bad chemicals from seeds
If SWIY wants to further purify your extract, SWIY could try to do an acid/base extraction similar to that used in mescaline extraction.
SWIM may or may not be experimenting with said extraction. This would result in a cloudy layer of non-polar solvent with a bottom layer of acid water. SWIM will see if the cloudy stuff will settle and absorb into the vinegar. If said extraction process is viable, SWIM will have a clean white powder of HBWR alkaloids. |
