Freeze dried shrooms, real or fake?

SWIM and SWIMs friend went to a concert the other day and a guy was sitting by his bike and walked up to SWIM and offered to sell SWIM shrooms. the guy said that they were "freeze dried from washington." SWIM at first ate only a few caps and stems, but didnt feel anything after a few hours. in total of the day, SWIM must have eaten 15 caps and probly more stems and STILL didnt feel shit! SWIM will describe them the best he can to give better information.

Small caps, thin stems, most connecting to a base where they had grown from, almost completely dry, but slightly... eh.... bendy? like not exactly to the point where they'd crack if you bent them but you could move and twist them a lot.

please help SWIM out with this cus it's pissing SWIM off to have gotten bad shrooms.

Sounds like the guy (fast get-away) on the bike was hawking dried Chinese mushrooms. SWIM got rooked. It's an old scam. Live & Learn.

There are real freeze-dried 'shrooms from WA state - but you won't see those offered from guys on bikes outside concerts. They are exceedingly rare.

if swiy slowly ate 15 caps and a few more stems over the course of a day its very likely a dose sufficient for effects was never reached. Whether they were freeze dried and shipped from Washington or dried with a fan at a house around the corner doesn't really make a difference here-- (edit: nag does make a good point that someone getting shipments from WA would likely not need to sell outside a concert)

Depending on the size of the stems and caps, it usually takes about 20 of either to make ~2grams (that can vary to a degree of course and weighing is smart). Swim has eaten 1 gram in one sitting and found the effects almost unnoticeable aside from a brightening of the mood (this can vary also of course, but it happens); if swiy ate 1.5 grams (for argument's sake since we cant measure) over the course of a few hours, the active dose might never have reached a point where swiy would feel them.

At the same time of course, they could be regular non-toxic ground mushrooms dried up and swiy would never get to find out since they're all gone

If swiy lives in a country where they're legal, swim's best advice is to order spores. After a down payment on some equipment, swiy will be able to get roughly an ounce per syringe (which costs almost nothing) and he'll know they're real. Swiy can then get some friends together and trip properly (and yes swim says it's totally worth it!)

SWIM lives in CA, and unfortunatly SWIM cant order spores here...

Just occured to SWIM, but does anyone know of any places around my area(Napa CA) where Shrooms grow freely in the woods? SWIM was thinking of doing some mushroom hunting and was just wondering.
