I'm wondering who's tried this, and if there's one type of pod that's better than another? Or if seeds work better than pods? I've seen directions for both pods and seeds, and am not sure which to try first.

Seeds can be bought pretty cheap, so I'm reluctant to believe they work too well for achieving a relaxed feeling/affect. The pods are more expensive, but there's so many different kinds of poppy pods (california poppy pods were listed in the directions for the tea).

So anyone have any suggestions for what works best?

Seeds work too? That would be great news, but kinda unbelievable. Poppy seeds are often ingredients of cakes...

You must use quite a bit or the seeds to make an effective tea. It will work however. Use lemon juice to help in the extraction. Pods will also work, but the californian kind dont contain opium, but rather a few effective alkoliods which have milder effects.

I would much rather have real opium opposed to a cheap tea.

So, do you mean that non-opium poppies can get you high too?

Perhaps in large amounts they could, but they do not contain morphine, codiene or any other major alkoloids that opium is made of.

Well I tried the seeds, about 400g or so, with little or no effect.

I got some podsthat were drilled and contained no seeds, and even about 20 did nothing.

Then I found some that weren't drilled, still contained seeds, and again tried making the tea. And it worked quite well. I'd recommend it, very relaxing, but make sure the pods aren't drilled or they probably won't work at all.

I've looked up some info on opium poppies in Poland and it looks like most of them here are opium-rich, and the best one is known as Lazur, it's a healthy-looking white flower with a violet "eye".

The seeds do not work. Throw them away.Just crush up the pods and put them into a coffee grinder. Then boil some water, mix in the powder and let simmer for about half an hour. Then filter out using a t-shirt into a pitcher. Mix 1 cup of sugar and 1 packet of cherry flavored kool-aid. Works perfect, I'm a tea drinker/maker

just eating the grounds is indeed the most effective way. but be careful if you are not used to opies and even pt because the effect will be far stronger and can be really annoying if you overdose, especially when you have this high-in-thebaine-strains that are grown a lot now.

I've done some experimenting myself with poppy seeds from the grocery store. 1 pound each for the 4 different brands, using the "lemon juice method". I found McCormick brand doesn't work, neither does Durkey, or kroger select. The cheap kroger brand poppy seeds in the metal 60 gram containers is very potent however. 1/2 pound of this gets me high as a kite.

So, the potentcy has everything to do with the brand of seeds you buy. But it definitly can work... and best of all, it's damn cheap.

So you need around 224 grams for one dose using this source?

Anyone else have any seed experiences to share?

Also, without naming source, can anyone with tea experience tell me if these have what SWIM needs?

Yes, that's why I posted the pic. I'm sure that someone has tested
them. Would be great if it is the type SWIM needs. They're from one of
the most popular floral (toll free) sources. Though they may not be
worth it for the price.

I got the seed info, but unfortunately the source is not local for SWIM.

Without being able to see the vegetation, it's really pretty
difficult to tell what type of poppy they are.

Do they still have the seeds?

If so, then you can tell that way.

If they still have the seeds, look at the seeds, and if they look like
super small kidney beans, then they're opium poppies. If the seeds
are round or kind of a triangle shape, then they're NOT opium
poppies.

Make sure too, because none-opium poppies can be very toxic to
humans.

Here is a comparison shot:

That last one will tell you real quick if you have opium poppies or not.

There is nothing cheap</span> about
poppy tea. In fact, it can place a most severe whupping on even
the most hardened op-head. I prefer to eat three or four
tablespoons of finely ground pods myself. I find, swished into a
glass of cold grapefruit juice, that the buzz takes a while to onset
but lasts anywhere from 8-16 hours. Its a good one too... not too
disorienting but definitely good itchies and stomach vibes and the
like. Take a benedryl at night for the best night's sleep you'll
ever have. Wake up with lots of energy, ready to clean the
house...

I don't know where you're coming from on that weak tea</span> malarkey though.... might wanna give it the old college try first.

Of course, I am also a pathological liar... I never experienced any of
what I just wrote. I prefer to spend my day masturbating... drugs
are bad... mmmkay?
