different coloured Ice

Does anyone know why ice comes in different colours. It obviously comes in clear but SWIM has had pink, green, yellow, brown ,white and orange. Is it the way their making it? any ideas

Usually it's that certain chemicals arn't extracted or removed or washed off corectly. Sometimes cooks will also add certain colors to increase sales to certain demographics (pink=teen girls thinks its cute) usually for dumb shit like that, but it works. Here is a list from erowid.com on certain colors
RED: The product was made from pseudoephedrine, and the red coloring of the tablet was not adequately washed away (it is difficult)
ORANGE: Ephedrine sulfate was used, and some of the sulfate was reduced to sulfur.
PURPLE: Iodine from a phosphorus-iodine reaction was not washed out.
GREEN: Copper (or other metallic) salts somehow made their way in to the mixture, probably due to the reaction vessel used in the manufacture.
BROWN: Oxidized red coloring (see above), or tablating agent was present in the reduction.

thanks, I had heard the same thing, just wanted to know it wasn't being cut with something I hadn"t heard of. Inositol and MSM are both clear and burn clear but I am always interested in any other substances they may use to rip us SWIMers off
