Snorting - Hydrocodone: Swallowing Pills Or Snorting?

SWIM has som 10/500 and he would like to get the most bang for his buck. SWIM heard that if SWIM snorts the crushed pills that SWIM will need less to produce the same effect. Can you shed some light on this subject for SWIM? Thanks.

the 500 in the 10/500 is acetomenophen (sp?), that is to say it is tylenol.

The active ingredients are vicoden 10mg and acetomenophne 500mg...so of the active ingredients the "good stuff" is only 1/50 or 2% of it...therefore...even if you had only actives 98% of what swiy snorts is not good or gonna do anything....plus there is the binders so swiy could put that closer to 0.5 or 1.0%....not very much at all

These are not meant for snorting, if swiy wants to do this they should extract the goods.

Anyways...swim says crush them...but parachute it instead of insufflating it...if swiy has no tolerance to opiates, this should get them going nicely...

do it on an empty stomach too...along with a crushed pill this should make the come up fast and make swiy feel really euphoric (if they have no tolerance)

Never snort hydrocodone because it is always mixed with something that will clog up your nose. If you are lucky you might be able to get Vicprofen™ which is 7.5 mg hydrocodone and 200 mg of ibuprofen. The best part is the pill is so much smaller.... And you don't have to worry about screwing up your liver.

Swallowing them gives you an onset of about 10 to 20 minutes. If I remember correctly, the peak is about 1-1/2 to 2 hours after that.

people say that snorting gives more of a rush, swim doesnt buy it, people who snort em prolly know little about opiates, hydrocodone in pill form is always in formation with APAP or Ibuprofen, and i think even aspirin sometimes, and they always make up the bulk of the pill, vicodin/lortab/norco work just fine orally their is no need to snort them.

Ibuprofen can be just as toxic as acetomenophen, you just don't hear about it as much because acetomenophen is the most common NSAID used to dilute opiats in prescriptinos.

Anything can be lethal at the right dose...a cup of water isn't lethal but if you drank a gallon or two you would definately have some health problems...
and then there is drowning.

even too much oxygen can be bad for you...

When things are called "non-toxic" this is usually in reference to the active dose (if it is a drug) or the amount and concentration one is usually exposed to if it is some other type of compound.

I will agree with you that I believe ibuprofen is "less toxic" than acetomenophen.

Well did a quick search and the numbers agree...acetomenophen (weight for weight) is more toxic than ibuprofen so you are along the correct thought process here, but swim still thinks a CWE is the way to go...then if one really wants to snort it they could simply wait for the water to evaporate?

I guess the point was from a prescribed maximum dose of either Vicoden of Vicoprofen you can essentially take more Vicoprofen (swallowed) then Vicoden.

I am not convinced that snorting is a good way to absorb hydrocodone, anyway.

well swim knows oxycodone kicks ass intranasally...swim would guess if it was extracted or in a drug alone form like oxy contin....

Snorting hydrocodone is a waste. Even if you do the CWE and let the water evaporate, it is no good. Hydrocodone is not absorbed well through the nose. The only effective way is to eat it.
And even oxycontin should be CWE to get the binders and time release stuff out. Time consuming, yes. But it is easier on the nose.

Hydrocodone is absorbed just as well orally as nasally, IIRC even better orally than nasally, and like mentioned hydrocodone tablets almost always contain paracetamol or ibuprofen as well, so there's no point in snorting them, unless one wants to take the trouble of extraction.
