How to store amphetamine powder

Got a questions guys. Yesterday I bought 4 grams of amphetamine powder with a plan of snorting it with my friends on new years party. I wanted to keep it in a drawer but I heard that it will loose its potency in such conditions. Is it true? What is the best way to keep amphetamine powder protected? Maybe its just a stupid rumor?

In the fridge it'll keep forever. However, so long as it's kept dry and dark you shouldn't lose any potency between now and New Years if the fridge is out of bounds...

yeah, it's in my house where I live with parents, I can't stick it between meat cuz my father could eat it accidently and fly through the chimney after this. I've put it to the box in the garden, hope it is alright (not too cold from the other hand).
