Drug info - How do you know you're getting real ketamine?

Is there an easy way to test whether a bag of white powder is in fact ketamine? SWIM has just had his first experience of buying bad stuff and it hurt like hell - even a tiny test amount really burnt up SWIM's nose and throat, and then SWIM was sick everywhere. It was a nightmare. Whatever was in that bad, it wasn't k.

So SWIM obviously wants to avoid that happening again.

SWIM doesn't have a regular dealer, sadly, so how can SWIM avoid bad stuff in future? Is there a way to recognise true ketamine? Any testing kits?

Ya there are pill testing kits which can differenciate Ketamine from other drugs. Also once swiy gets some proper K he will realise the taste is quite distinctive - easily told apart from coke , MDMA etc. Just gotta find swiyself a regular hook-up who gets it straight from the bottle....its the only way to K .

SWIM has had it pure many times before but never really tasted it. Will a testing kit work with powder?

Ket disolves in water if it helps your test kit. Distilled if you wanna IM it... MAKE SURE IT IS KET IF YOU USE IM METHOD!

the smell should tell you if you got pure k...I always get pure k..

Well Ketamine is sold in two forms, one being liquid which will have a very soapy scent. (Liquid Ketamine smells like liquid dish detergent.) It has an unpleasing bitter taste and is often let to dry. The second median of being sold is in crystal form. Ketamine in crystal form is the most common way K is found. Crystal K will dissolve in water and if real will "hit" you within 5 minutes. You don't need more than a 10th of a gram your first time and will need to crush the crystals into a fine powder, or else it will burn badly.

SWIM has had liquid K sold to him in an Evian water bottle; SWIM obviously thought this was fake. SWIM cooked it up and the solution popped like popcorn and there was more K than SWIM could imagine. SWIM learned if you cook it and it pops into powder with super ease, it's K.

With power: SWIM has learned K has a distinct drip when snorted. Within 5-10min one will feel the drip from their nose to the back of their mouth, as if it's one line connected. This drip is a little bitter and gross, but one learns to love it, because seconds after one feels the drip, the K will kick in. How should one test this? Make a bump HALF the size of a PEA. yes, K is VERY strong when you have no tolerance; a pea sized bump, depending on where the K has come from, can send you easily into a K hole for an hour or two. SWIM loves K holes. SWIY may not.

Like previous post, it's not the taste that's distinctive it's the smell. SWIM is going to India in 3 weeks and I think plenty of cooking will b in order,

not sure, but its just a general soapy smell. and really moist....

also can undercooking it make it less potent??

hahaha what kind of detergent does K smell like... well swim thinks K has a sweet quality to it similiar to that of a ketone however it as a minor burning quality when insufflated. If swiy wants to make sure they are getting real ketamine take a small bump of 30 mg's if its powder, swiy will know in about a minute if its K or not. offer to pay whoever the few dollars for the miniscule bump, if the dealer is opposed he likely does not have very good ketamine if it is ketamine at all. Explain swiys skepticism, the dealer probably won't be to sketchy swim would think...
