I remember the fear of driving through East Germany in 1970. Pulled over to take a piss. Machine guns in our faces. Now it's the same here in many places.

FUBAI, there's more to gun ownership than ready militias.
In coal strikes in West Virginia, machine guns were used against strikers. The Pinkerton dogs were well-armed, too. As much of an underdog as my brothers before me might have been, it'd have been much, much worse had they been unarmed. Without firearms, I'm not sure we'd have the right to organize in this country. Thus, I'll support private gun ownership with whatever measures might be necessary. I can understand that you might not appreciate the sacrifices made in the US labor movement. Hell, very little is taught about it these days (most likely deliberately) and most US youth are clueless. But an appreciation of history will show the importance of gun ownership. |
