swim consumes 3 yellow capsules, within a half an hour swim is stumbling to the bathroom to look at his face, by the time hes done that hes completely shitfaced. not drunk, not stoned per se just extremely intoxicated. coordination is all but nonexistant. there is a pleasant buzz somewhere in swims body, if he could just quantify it. experience drops sharply over the next 3 hours. very little urge to sleep, but swim imagines if hed taken even more, thats all hed have been able to do.

Pentobarbital is a really fast acting barbituate and is said to be recreational. However, overdose can depress respiration. SWIM's never had any to give the test ferrets, and at this point would not due to previous barbituate dependence. What dose are those yellow pills ?

100 mg I think. at the time SWIM's girlfriend was prescribed them for sleep.

Christ, SWIM didn't know these were even prescribed for sleep anymore- sounds like a recipe for some NASTY withdrawels. Even the strongest benzodiazepine looks incredibly weak compared to this substance, in terms of effects and DEFINATELY withdrawels. Withdrawels from this substance are often lethal.

Withdrawls from barbs are worse than benzos? I thought benzos were as bad as it could get. SWIM isn't arguing, he's just surprised that withdrawls are worse than benzos. SWIM has always assumed that barbs were merely more easily addicted to, with withdrawls roughly equivalent. SWIM also thought in order of addictiveness it went something like barbs, benzos, alcohol with a pretty similar withdrawl.

Please correct SWIM on any of his misconceptions.

Benzos are hell for withdrawels, but SHORT ACTING barbs are the worst. Short acting barbs are FREQUENTLY fatal, whereas short acting benzos are sometimes fatal. Neither are fun, but barbs are almost never prescribed for this reason.

Yes, Nembutal was a little yellow pill but it's no longer made as a pill capsule anymore, that was discontinued back in 1994. Pentobarbital now only comes in liquid (vial) form and is only used in hospitals. Since this stuff had a long history of addiction and easy overdose, doctors no longer prescribed it as much so the Abbott Pharma company sold the rights of Nembutal to Ovation Pharma.

Pentobarbital is the strongest (excluding thiopental which is used for euthanasia)and most recreational of all barbiturates.

pentobarbital and seconol (correct spelling I think) are also used for euthanasia. Thiopental is also an anesthetic induction drug.

swim has been taking shots I.V. pentobarbital for a year or so maybe once or twice a week and big ones like they knock me out for a few hours then im drunk few a few more then i sleep well, Warning dont take it for days on end youll get hookd and hanging of it is bad like hammer. P.s. Im a I.V. morphine junky. Its very nice being able to get these things pharmacitual/vetanary grade!! But pentobarbital is very very nice indeed!

Nembutal is used to put animals to sleep, its also used for DIY euthanasia...(old and sick people go to Mexico to buy it and kill themselves, its still easy to get in pet shops) This is what a homeless person told me....

Its recommended by Dr Philip Nitschke for euthanasia.
