Inside of mescaline cactus
Is it true that you can get sick from eating the inside(or white part) of Peyote or San Pedro and that its better to peel and eat the green part?

The wooden core hardly contains any mescaline and can be discarded. I haven't heard it is more nauseous than other parts of the cacti; but it does cause nausea so why not discard it?

if your cooking the cactus to suryp you need to omit NOTHING.
that is true that the center pith is just woody and low in alkaloids. taste a small section of the cactus, and see if you want to be eating wastefull low alkaloid parts of it. |

Swim did this experiment. The white between the outer green and central
core was prepared and used. It is 50% weaker than the thin outer green layer (after the wax coating) with no nausea.Edited by: jaguarangel |

The more blue-green the cactus the more potent it seems to be according
to swim's friends (even though this is not scientifically proven). |
