This chemical is one of the most wonderful fruits of Shulgin's labors. I had the luck of being around when a test was done with it the other day and it seemed amazing. There wasn't much information on it available, so I thought I'd post.

Dosages taken were approximately 24 mg each. I say approximately because I don't trust those pocket scales, even if they claim to be
accurate to a milligram.

Miprocin was described by all as a very clean shroom-like trip. The experience seemed a little more alien than shrooms, but this wasn't a bad thing. All of nature looked like crazy extraterrestrial shrines and monuments. Trees and flowers let their true fractal nature emerge and it was wonderful. It was definitely a very active sacrament for the first four or five hours and then it slowly became more sedentary.

Sleep would have been possible not too long after the peak, but some residual trippiness that was pretty sweet lasted for at least eight hours. Closed eye visuals were not emphasized, but if you took the time to look at them they were simply marvelous. Mental space felt productive in an introspective sense.

Overall the group agreed this blows 2C-I, 2C-B, MDMA, 5-MeO-anything, AMT, 2C-T-anything, etc. out of the water. One person commented that she could imagine only using this and LSD for the rest of her life. This as a "short" trip and LSD as a long trip.

4-ho-mipt & mushrooms

Body load was extremely absent. My friends often get stomach pains or GI discomfort on other psychedelics, but everyone was pleased with the friendliness of this compound.

Everyone agreed that next time ~28 mg would be in order. We'll hope for a sharp dose response curve.

4-ACO-MiPT is one of the next things to get on my list. I have heard nothing but good things about it.


4 HO MiPT was not that visual for me. I got the usual psychidelic "breathing of the walls" and "melting" but nothing too far beyong that. A euphoria that rivaled MDMA is what I found...


Definitely one of the best RC's out right now. And looks to be one of the best psychidelics period.

SWIM did not find 4-ho-mipt very visual at all, 5-meo-mipt proved to be far more visual but at the same time have a far higher chance of a bad trip.(and most likely more dangerous) Swim did not find 4-ho-mipt as good as everyone has made it sound, he had better memories with 4-ho-det but this could be just because this was his first 4-ho.

Anyways 4-ho-mipt has over all disapointed swim maybe just because of all the hype, Swim figured it would be better. high doses of 5-meo-mipt blew away the visuals of 4-ho-mipt.

Swim has experimented with both 5-meo-mipt and 4-ho-mipt at doses of 20-40mgs. 40mgs of 5-meo-mipt being very frightning and INSANLY visual, but 40mgs of 4-ho-mipt being very stong yet tolerable, and not nearly as visual.Edited by: RoboCop

lmao robo, youre almost up to my scary 100 mg experience. did you look at the stars? the light and patterning of the 5meo are both something intrinsic to that chemical alone methinks. the 4ho produces nearly identical visuals, just without the strange "ninja scrolls" moving over everything, or the fractal breaking of light.not even DMT is as visual IMO(as the methoxy that is). SWIM little bird found alert in 15 minutes, a fast lift from +1 to +2 hours in, OEV interesting especially outside at night, CEV 'fireworks like', almost no auditory but a light buzzing tone that didn't change, bird had very speedy thought pattern and concentration moment to moment splits. overall, SWIMs bird was left clean and clear with no load effects at all. SWIM bird was very euphoric threwout and past 5+ hours.

SWIMS bird would have had issues without set & setting at the cage.

SWIM would gander 25mg maybe 30mg with Tryptamine tolerance. SWIM cant seem to break ego at all with Miprocin. 30mg Miprocin Fumarate + 30g wet shrooms = ego death SWIM said though.

Some time ago SWIM tried 4-HO-MIPT in the 18 mg and 22 mg doses. It took about 20 minutes to really start kicking. The 22 mg dose was so strong that nothing could be done for 2 hours except walk around and go "wow". Changing a cd was tough. Like a very strong mushroom trip. It lasted about 3-4 hours and the come down was gentle. Too strong to participate in but very visual. An excellent substance. The only difference between this and mushrooms was the teacherly, wise, and spiritual presence was absent that SWIM has experienced with mushrooms. The rest of the trip was identical though.

SWIM is writing these reviews from memories. SWIM said he hasn't seen anything in quite a few years and thinks that's a bummer. Oh well, SWIM likes reading recent reports too.

Duration: 5 - 6 hours @ 37 mg.

SWIM acquired 4-ho-mipt roughly two years ago and was the first RC that SWIM had tried. It reminded SWIM at 19 mgs of a very pleasant, less body load comparable to a 1/16th of good mushrooms, with light breathing, intense color, and a little confusion and nausea of the come up. SWIM ventured further and dosed 37 mgs a couple weeks later. The expience was psychedelically overwhelming, launching SWIM into something he never wished to experienced. Massive movement and waves in the ground, extreme confusion and vivid hallucinations, the whole experience was over in 5-6 hours, SWIM weighed about 125 pounds with an empty stomache come up to the peak was about 20 minutes, very hard hitting and strong. SWIM would suggest a dose around 22-25 mgs for a pleasantly strong trip, because it seems the dose response after 30 mgs is quite sharp.

While sitting around and chatting at a coffeshop I got a call from my "psychedelic explorer" friend. He said he had quite a story for me and he did.

He dropped by and over lattes he told me this:

Earlier this week I had a chance to try this stuff called 4-HO-MIPT. I acquired two capsules with 13mg each of the fumarate salt. The guy I got it from told me that one of these should suffice for an introduction so I gave one to my girlfriend and took one myself. I hadn't slept wonderfully the night before but took a nap prior to taking the caps. We had both had a light meal about an hour before. I punctured the capsules so the effects would hit more quickly. We swallowed them with a bit of orange juice and went to meditate while they kicked in.

We meditated for about fifteen minutes and then my mind couldn't focus. I kept getting these very detailed images in my head, geometric designs, but not full blown CEVs. My girlfriend said for some reason she couldn't sense my presence while we meditated together, she could hear background noises and knew I existed but couldn't hear or feel me at all. Odd.

We settled down to listen to some music and watch visualizations on my computer. About 40 minutes in I felt an odd tingle along my skin, all of my skin. We, messed around and well... tactile enhancement certainly took place. The erotic aspects of the chemical even at that stage helped both of us quite a bit. We decided to take a shower afterward and the hot water and steam felt amazing. I noticed some rainbow colors in the droplets of water and my girlfriend told me my pupils got more and more dilated as the shower progressed. I saw little sparkles of vibrant pinkish purple behind my eyelids with each splash of water. We gave each other backrubs, and I know for my part it felt amazing.

We then went and laid down again, listening to some psytrance and watching visualizations. About an hour and fifteen minutes had passed since ingestion. My girlfriend took out some glowsticks and I decided to give her a lightshow. She said it looked and felt amazing, I know the blue and red in particular looked incredibly intense. I made a red-green-blue stripe in one hand and waved it around, she said "I see colors in those glowsticks that I know don't exist, but they look wonderful."

We laid down for a bit and she said the trip had gotten rather intense. For my part I felt that the intensity had peaked around an hour but that the trip just got "richer", more intricate CEVs and tactile energy tingles but minor OEVs and music enhancement. She had to cover herself with blankets at one point due to the intensity. Each capsule had exactly 13mg inside so I can only assume she had a much greater sensitivity to the substance. I decided I loved this substance, much more than mushrooms and she agreed. She also felt much more intense effects than she had gotten from mushrooms, (she has taken about 3g in tea as her highest mushroom dose, quite intense for me at the same dose with the same batch of tea.)

My psytrance overwhelmed her but when I put on some native american flutes and chanting she said the intensity subsided. She had visuals persist intensely for the next hour or so. At some point we both realized we needed food. My roommate cooked up some chili and let me tell you, it tasted amazing. I cannot, CANNOT eat on mushrooms, especially chili, it looks at me funny and doesn't look like food. On this substance though my appetite improved. Each flavor had its own sensation and color in my head (they always do but not as vibrant.) Even after I got full I got vicarious enjoyment from the thought of my roommate eating chili. Very very odd.

We listened to music for a while and a song came on which brought back childhood memories, I felt an upswelling of emotion and ended up crying and sobbing in the bathroom, I needed this emotional release, I tend to bottle emotions and psychedelics often let me break through the walls I build and I feel very glad that this substance has this emotional healing capability.

After about 4 hours I felt mostly sober. Some minor visuals and mental oddities but could function well. My girlfriend took another hour to reach baseline, and couldn't find music she liked for that last hour.

Overall I love this stuff. Would enjoy doing more, perhaps twice as much. Keep in mind on the dose that I got threshold effects from my girlfriend got an intense trip, twitchy and mentally overwhelmed at some points. It felt so similar to mushrooms I will compare with those. It hits a little faster for me, but intensity seems close to the same magnitude. It did not give me any gastric disturbances but did seem to give me some of the chest congestion "thick mucus" feelings like mushrooms do. My girlfriend felt the same "congestion." I find this much more erotic than mushrooms, and much clearer, crisper and cleaner all around. I always feel like the mindspace of mushrooms has "inhabitants" and the other thoughts sometimes overwhelm my own. Also the visuals from 4-HO-MIPT seemed more clearly delineated and mandala-like than fractal (julia) like visuals from mushrooms. Oh, during most of the trip I had a weird "electric teeth" effect, don't know how to describe it but have gotten similar side effects from large doses of LSD, it feels like a light current passing through my teeth (which I normally do not feel at all.) Hopefully I can get some more, I'll let you know how it goes if I do.

Sounds like a fascinating substance to me. Figured I'd share his experiences with you folk, for others to learn from. I'll report back if he takes it again.

Route: Snorted
Duration: 5 - 6 hours
Male 65kg

30mg was split into several piles. A small amount was snorted. There was no pain or anything else. I felt it within 45min. It was very smooth, no body load at all. Nice CEV and OEV. More was snorted and 1g of mushrooms was eaten. Everything started to become extremely funny. I was laughting so hard almost all night. Visuals intensified. Very friendly material, i need to get more of this. One of the best/funniest nights of my life.
