Ok, I have heard some things about stems. Personally, I do not know if this is true at all, cuz I dont really like stems, just sorta like the taste of straight bud. BUT my friend who I was smoking with was loading a bowl, and broke the bud apart and loaded it. Had the stem in his hand, then started chewing it, he told me that I guess the stems have the most THC out of all the weed.. is this true? I have basically only heard bad thing about stems like it gives you headaches, and fucks up yournut or something. What I would like to know is does the stems really contain the most THC out of the weed? Or is this just a urban myth

Make pot butter, instead.

You can chop bud-stems up with a butcher's knife
into small particles.

Mix two tablespoons of stem with 1/4-1/3 cup of
melted butter and allow butter to simmer at low heat
for 1-2 hours.

Sift the stems in a paper coffee filter or a paper
towel, and wring it tightly to extract the remaining oils
in the chopped stems.

Discard the stems and use the butter in cookies or
brownies. You can also refrigerate it to use later.Edited by: woodman

that butter stuff is sick straight.. and alot of people think it is too robo is just hardcore and wants a mad high. as for cooking with stems? i heard stems have 0 thc and 0 of the other stuff(which i dont feel like looking up) your just wasting your time. as for your friend... let him chew on him.. maybe yall had some bad ass weed and he thought he was a cow.. that can be my only excuse..

You can also make very decent hash-oil from stems, just check out the extraction techniques other places on the forum, all you need is Butane lighter fluid, and a lot of stems, of course.

The stems don't contain THC, or at least not nearly as much as the
buds. However, the stems are obviously in contact with the buds
and therefore with the resin glands, so there will be some residual THC
present on the stems. That's why a lot of people use stems to
make cannabutter, oil or tea. When I harvest my plants, I use as
much of the plant as possible. I don't like wasting the leaves
and stems, so I use them to make butter for baking or sometimes I'll
make a bit of oil. As for the stems giving you headaches or
causing other problems, that's got to be a myth.

Shitty weed ($20 an eighth or less) gives me headaches. Stems just taste like shit but they do get you high. Holding in a stem hit is almost as bad as ghosting a cigarette. I alwaysthrow away all my stems but now I'll save them for hash-oil. Thx for the info.

I have had some nice stoned nights after eating some brownies etc. made with the "worst" green on the plant and stems.

But dunno if you can just chew stems to get high, doubt it.

purely speculation but I think you could get high off chewing them...I'd hate to see how many stems it'd take to get high though...

From what I know, the skin of stems contain some thc, the inside is just like cellulose and other plant stuff

There is some Thc as said above on the skin of the stems, but as for
chewing them.... I don't think so. I have never tried to use
stems for put butter, but shall now try in the future. I have
smoked stems in desperation/curiuosity before and seemed to get high
for around 30 minutes. This could have been a placebo effect or maybe
just resin from my bowl.

well i sometimes chew on them just to make my selfthink i get higher but when i do i usually have a noob around to eat all of them and i chew on like a small one
