Smoking salvia Divinorum using a pipe, bong, joint, etc.

What's the difference? Which way is better? And why? I can't find any solid information in this. Some people say a pipe is better, yet others say a pipe is too harsh. Then people say there's no difference, it all depends on the person. Some people say salvia joints are crap.......I don't know why though. Others say it needs to be burned at a high temp than weed, etc but others say this is a myth. As you can see, I'm confused....anyone care to clarify?

Rolling papers are cheap, so my friend says she rather go that route.......
