Mescaline as first psychedelic?

My Gorilla smoked weed and drank with his friends before as they were kind of interested in trying a psychedelic in a while. Were all scared of bad trips with shrooms and lsd, because they never tripped before, but all the trip reports about mescaline the Gorilla read on Erowid were extremely positive, i don't think he found a single negative one.

So his query is basically:

Is mescaline a good psychedelic to start with on your first trip?
Is it harder to have a bad trip on mescaline than it is with shrooms/lsd?
