Econ of Salvia Divinorum legality?

A question for all you Salvia growers: is Salvia, on net, easier or harder to grow for a given weight of finished product? Obviously, it'd be harder to start in the illegal environ, due to dearth of viable seeds; conversely, all leaves are valuable and there's no need to engage in "sexual discrimination."

I'm just wondering if wholsale leaf prices would equal those of cannabis for, say, a 1 to 30 oz purchase.

(Incidentally, the legal hemp market-clearing rate is approximately $2/lb.)
