Clobenzorex ((+)-N-[(2-Chlorophenyl)methyl]-α-methylphenethylamine)

SWIM found a good amount of pills called Asenlix with 30 mg clobenzorex each pill. SWIM searched the net and there is little info, apparently it's banned in Europe and the USA, it is used for obesity in south america, and 15% of it it's metabolized to (d) Amphetamine within the body.

SWIM wants to know if anybody has used it, and impressions of use as study aid or recreative potential, as well as its possible coversion to amphetamine (probably will post in the chemistry forum)

Quote:
Clobenzorex (also known under the brand names Asenlix, Finedal, or Rexigen; or the US slang "greenies") is a stimulant drug used as an anorectic (that is, a medication that suppresses appetite). The drug is legally distributed in Mexico under the trade name Asenlix by the Aventis pharmaceutical corporation.
Chemically, clobenzorex is an N-substituted amphetamine analog that is converted to (d) amphetamine soon after ingestion. In commercial production, clobenzorex is supplied in 30mg doses as the hydrochloride salt in green-tinted capsules. The drug gained use as a prescription anorectic in the 1970s; however, adverse reactions were eventually observed, which led to the prohibition of clobenzorex in the US and certain other countries.[1]
In the United States of America, clobenzorex tablets (among other varieties of stimulants, such as amphetamine) have been used by athletes who ingest the drug

In the United States of America, clobenzorex tablets (among other varieties of stimulants, such as amphetamine) have been used by athletes who ingest the drug to reduce fatigue, increase attention, and improve reaction times during athletic activities. The green-tinted Asenlix capsules (generic forms can be seen as half light green, half dark green capsules marked "IFA") are known as "greenies" among US baseball players, a slang term that in current use has expanded to generically refer to any amphetamine-class stimulant.

Re: Clobenzorex ((+)-N-[(2-Chlorophenyl)methyl]-α-methylphenethylamine)

Does anyone have any experience with Asenlix? I'm curious if it's a viable alternative to standard amphetamine, since it apparently gets metabolised to d-amphetamine.

How does the dosage compare to, say, pharmaceutical dexedrine? Asenlix comes in 30mg tablets, which would be a rather high dose of d-amphetamine, so I assume 30mg of Asenlix is equivalent to a much lower dose of d-amphetamine. But how much lower?

Any input would be great.

Well it says that 15% is metabolized to dextroamphetamine so that means that with 30mg of the asenlix 4.5mg would convert to d-amp.
