Cojoba Yopo preparations

Hey, i'm puerto rican, and our natives used cojoba as part of their
ceremonies. I have been using the same formulation they did: calcinated
seashells and burnt/dried cojoba seeds(anandanthera sp.). It's cheap
and effective, but OUCH. the calcium BURNS the nose... it's the most
horrible sensation i've ever felt.



So, this said, you guys know any all natural cojoba recipes that are more nose-friendly?

This is the same as yopo right? Imn sure it is. How many seeds are in your lines? And how big are they? I powdered some yopo and just finished snorting I did about 2 lines a cm thick each about 3 inches long think this will have any effect? I guess only time will tell. It hardly burned at all! I expected a much worse burn nothign compared to ice. Hope it works!

I keep reading erowid experience where they heat the seeds to a pop before they grind them what is the point of this? I can jsut grind the seeds and snort them straight right? Which is what I did don't think it will work.

Also I forgot to mention the calcium/Lime that is added for the snuff why is this? What does it add to the experience? Does this make the dmt work via nasal cavity? I thought It would work anyways, but apparantly not. So my questions are:
1. Why heat the seeds to a pop before grinding?
2. Why use Lime with the ground seeds?

1. the seeds need to be roasted supposedly, and they pop when heated because of pressure inside the seed
2. i think it's like an acid base thing, i believe it's used to make it less painful, i've read that the seeds can be snorted regularly but its extremely uncomfortable
