Sexual - Mushrooms and Sex

Has anyone else noticed that on low doses (1 - 2 g) of shrooms it is the heightened sexuality that is the most notible effect of the experience? for Toonces it has been this way every time..and what about all the sexual imagery (CEV) shared by mushroom users? For Toonces it is a better feeling than MDMA..think some docs and scientists should experiment with psilocybin in this regard..

SWIM too has experienced incredible sexual images through CEVs after taking mushrooms. There's definitely potential in psilocybin in terms of sexual enhancement, at least from a male perspective, as it doesn't produce the same problems as MDMA (difficulty getting an erection) or alcohol (whisky dick).

People seem to fall into two categories, just based on what I've heard others say about this. One half find it pro-sexual, others think that the mere idea of sex on shrooms seems "weird", in a bad way.

I can't figure out the divide.

I have only tried shrooms once in my life, and it was at WAY too high a dose for me to feel aroused

Swim has tried to have sex on mushrooms but swim could not peak.
Swim found the experience to be very wierd (wierd thoughts and images ,,,CEV's OEV'S). swim personally would not try this again.

For SWIM and his Wife (SWIM & Co.) lower doses (1-3g) of shrooms are very pro-sexual...but not in a pushy way like MDMA is....rather it enhances touch and lets them get into our "grove" a little better.


They really enjoy taking 2.5-3g at the tail end of an MDMA trip. It keeps the sexual energy going strong, for many, many hours.

Over 3 grams of P. Cubes usually make sex difficult, and after 4-5g it's almost impossible...as things start getting quite confusing and weird.

However, it is not a sex drug in and of itself... it can only enhance, as least for them, what is already there. It does not make the desire, only amplifies it.

Just don't go telling people that mushrooms are the "Sex Drug." For one thing - They only work that way if your SWIM is comfortable in a psychedelic head space (many people aren't and would freak if they took same expecting a "Viagra" effect), and the government would be under extreme pressure from the Christian Right (Reich) to pave the world to prevent their growth - Jesus demands such!

SWIM finds tripping and having sex/doing sexual things on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Mazatecs traditionally would abstain from sex the day of eating the mushrooms and 4 days afterwards, and warn that doing sexual things while on the mushrooms would result in insanity.

this reminds me of terrence mckenna's theory that magic mushroom consuming humans mated more often millenia ago.

I think the sexual aspect would probably fall under barely threshold dosage. Like 1 gram dried. barely enough to have "trippy" effects.

Swim and his girlfriend love having sex on low doses like half an 8th. She loves it more than him! She keeps asking him when they can do it again. It is a bit weird though, but he finds it fun. Sex is often interupted by looking into eachothers eyes. They once did it for like 3 and half hours tripping. Pass the hell out right after though.

SWIM has tried sex on shrooms. He doesn't find it that great. The visuals and fascinating nature of the universe while tripping distracts him.

For SWIM, shrooms are more of a love drug than a sex drug. SWIM is an emotionally detached person usually but while tripping all of his positive emotions are magnified hundedfold and everything negative is swept away.

swim doesn't have personal experience with this, but based on talking to others his working theory is that due to the emotional nature of mushrooms, sex with someone you know very well and love/care about would be pretty amazing, while random sex with someone you don't know well would probly just be weird and very awkward. swim hopes to experiment with this idea someday

by sex i mean make love. thats an important part. Since your emotions ( or SWIMS at least) are enhanced, would making love with someone who is important to you be amazing?

He means emotional. Tree has never tried MDMA either, but from what he has read, its empathic effects are unrivalled.

Swim finds when he does mushrooms he doesn't really feel the sexual erges he does when he's not on them

SWIM loses his sexual drive when he is on shrooms. He is more interested in teh small aspects of his surroundings and deep (or stupid) conversations. SWIm can only imagine he would lose focus when performing the deed and overthink the actions and their implications.
If SWIY is different and becomes horny on shrooms, then go ahead.

As others have said, if SWIY can get their hands on amphetamines, the sex will feel better than on shrooms. MDMA has the additional property of adding emotional feelings to it too.
