Drug info - DXM vs. Mushrooms

swim was wondering the difference between a 3rd plateau trip on dxm and eating a 8th of shrooms. swim was wondering if the shrooms make you really confused and dalerious(however you spell it) like dxm does. when swim was triping on dxm he would be in a state of consciousness but be unaware of anything that was going on around him, it wasn't so much of a hallucination trip but a body trip and a mind trip(totaly confused). Swim was just wondering if shrooms would be more of a hallucination trip and not so much of a confusing trip.

Sorry but it will probably be far from expectations due to the fact that it is hard to describe it because there are no words that can desribe it more thoroughly than the severely obscure word 'Trip'

dxm is a dissociative and shrooms are a psychedelic..the effects are much different and my cat much prefers shrooms. the difference in feel from a chemical and an organic substance is noticeable as well.

My wallaby finds that while shrooms has confusing moments (especially towards the beginning of a strong trip, when effects set in) but most of the time they leave one lucid minded... although visually everything is quite distorted, one feels almost completely in control. Mushrooms might get confusing at high dosages but with low to medium amounts most people find they can think quite clearly. DXM is muddling pretty much the whole way through.

My opinion is also that shrooms have more intellectual potential, as well as more enjoyability than DXM. But they're very different drugs.

the closest swim has ever came to an 8th of shrooms was with ambien and marijuana, the mental state was more confusing than shrooms but the first thing swim thought of was shrooms when he was peaking

not that SWIM is saying ther anything alike cuz from what swim told me there not rly similar at all, just wanted to make it known dxm is a hallucinogen

my dog personally dislikes DXM, because when he did it, he was convinced he was going to die due to interactions with his doggy allergy medicine. Plus my dog was just to confused to enjoy it and last time I spoke to my dog he said he couldnt remember 4 hours of his DXM adventure.

I like this description, very good. Although at times shrooms and DXM can seem somewhat similiar, they aren't really the same....atleast thats what my dog tells me.

Shrooms is something everyone in life should experience. My doggie has been looking for more shrooms for over a year now.

dxm (dissociative opiate & depressant) has nothing to do with shrooms (psychedelic hallucinogenic tryptamines).

thread makes swim remember how he once took a 900mg 3rd plateau dxm dose, which 30 minutes later was accidentally followed by 1g of the extremely potent hawaiian copelandia cyanescens mushrooms......whaaaaiYaah!

Swim sees no similarities between these 2 drugs other than a trippy night. Swim actually liked DXM more than shrooms a few years ago, but now seems to enjoy a low dose shroom experience more. Swim used to love the whacked out brain through a blender DXM experience and felt he got more out of it. Swims last few shroom experiences have been VERY insightful though. He loves the natural feeling of shrooms vs. the strong chemical feeling of DXM. DXM puts him so far out of reality that when he is done tripping he can't make sense of all the thoughts that were running through his head unlike shrooms. So in all very different substances!

i certainly hope shrooms are far from dxm since swim wants to try shrooms in a few weeks and he told me that dxm makes him feel very uncomfortable, makes it impossible for him to sleep and gives him a feeling of profound emptyness inside.

update: swim tried shrooms now and says it is somewhat similar due to the fact that everything starts to move. however the two do not have much in common and swim would recommend shrooms anyday over dxm. swim loved the shroom experiance even though he felt very selfconsious during the trip.
