GHB is illegal and GBL is on the UN red list. Holland is part of the UN. Practicly it means GBL is a watched chemical.

Since GBL is watched, how is it available in the UK, or is it no longer available?

Now now Alfa, that sounds a little like unsubstantiated speculation or assumption. Do you have a reference to support that statement?

I assume, when you say "sting operations" you mean that the authorities are setting up fronts to get the details of people who order GBL? I can't really see it myself as with GBL being legal and GHB only being a class C (same as mj) substance, the expense of such an operation (you know how inefficient publicly funded operations always are) would not be justified because of the low chance of a succesful prosection.

They would have to conduct raids on the houses of people who had ordered GBL in the hope that they could find some that had been converted to GHB and, even then, it would likely only end in a police caution. Not politically beneficial.

Don't get me wrong, all it will take is a decent push by the media to raise the evil spectre of the "date-rape-drug-that-is-made-from-paint-stripper-and-drain-cleaner" in order to make it a viable enough effort, but things are pretty quiet at the moment on that front for a change.

I dont really get that ghb stuff? isnt that just the liquid date rape drug? also in amsterdam mdma is illegal but yet some of the best pills in the world come from there actually 90%of the worlds pills come from there. so is it just bzp pills that are legal over there? well hope to hear back thanks..

The "media" has labeled it to be the "liquid date rape drug". GHB is a salt. It tastes like salt. It has roughly 1/2 the saltiness of table salt (so one would need 2x as much for the same saltiness). It can be in a powder -> mushy -> liquid state. It takes about 3g to feel mild effects on an average size person. A dose to make one unconsious varies from person to person, anywhere from 6-15g! Try hiding 6-15g in someones drink when it taste's like STRONG saltwater.

Unless the person had a gallon margarita then forget it! Alcohol remains the #1 date rape drug in the world, hands down! On that note, who wants to do shots!!

SWIM went to Amsterdam this summer and had previously read the same things, marijuana not allowed to be smoked in public, 5 gram limit, et cetera... But a good friend of his native to Zuid-Holland met him in Amsterdam and told him that it doesn't matter how much grass you have unless its extremely massive amounts and that you can smoke it anywhere. Anybody have any info on Zwolle?

Swim was planning lots of shrooms, swim has been before but didn't have the knowledge DF has given him in the past few months. Swim will be on the look out for cacti as he is a massive fan, would this be dried or in live chunks? is it even still available? Same goes for RC's, would swim ask nicely about 'Research Chems' or would swim have to ask for what he wants?

Mescaline cacti are available in smart shops but only living cacti (I'm rather sure it's illegal for smart shops to process it in any way).
RC's aren't available in smart shops (or at least not in the smart shops where swim has been).

LSD has been illegal in the Netherlands, and everywhere else, for quite a while...
It was never available in smart shops AFAIK.

Dried magic mushrooms are not considered legal in The Netherlands, although one would likely win a court case over its legality if one would be up for that.
Fresh magic mushrooms may get banned in Holland soon.

Did the illegalization of mushrooms have any effect? SWIM spent a couple weeks in Amsterdam (SWIM's traveled a bit and has to say it's his favorite city in the world - Van Gogh Museum on mushrooms FTW!), and remembers strolling around in the Red Light district having to practically fight off people trying to sell him every kind of drug. Did the ban end up doing anything other than just adding "mushroom dealers" to the Red Light district?

I am going to a rave and i wanted to know the legality of mephedrone?

if it is legal, would i be able to carry it from UK over to Netherlands without any trouble? if not what about smart shops, do they sell mephedrone(pill form or powder)

Mephedrone IS NOT legal in The Netherlands, it is not a scheduled drug, but currently it is like a forbidden medicine. So I wouldn't take it on the plane with you if I were you, also because they will for sure not believe you if you say it is mephedrone.
The smart-shops have stopped selling methylone as-well for about 2 years now I think, some of them might still have some, but officially it is not allowed.

Pretty much anywhere where you can't bother people with it. You are not allowed to smoke in the coffeeshops anymore though, nor inside other places where people work(pubs, restaurants, etc.). There might be some places that have a special smoking-cabin inside their pub (like Susies Saloon, nice English pub).

You are only allowed to smoke in the coffeeshops and at home, although Cowboy tokes up whenever he has the opportunity to do without getting caught.

The permitted amount for E's is 5 pills. For other drugs (crack, heroin, coke, speed, etc.), the permitted amount is 0.5g, although if you have slightly more, e.g. 1g, most police will choose not to prosecute you.

Lateley there is a kind of hard no-tollerance approach to drugs, so even if you have a tiny ammount of coke/speed/hard drugs with you, you are still able to be prosecuted. Remember, drugs IS NOT LEGALE here, it is TOLERATED.

You can still smoke weed in coffeeshops, though smoking tobacco is illegal. Despite this, SWIM did see some coffeeshops ignoring this rule. This was true as of this July.

As far as I know, any kind of smoking at places where people work(inside) is illegal. Of course a lot of shop/pub-owners still let people smoke inside their place, and they just take the risk of being fined.
