Exclamation accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

SWIM took two hits of mid grade LSD While on lithium, well butrin, adderoll and lamictal. Swim had been struggling with suicidal depression for about a year. SWIM did not have seizures but has read many reports on erowid of people having them from this combo. SWIM went into a complete dissociative fugue state, the most transpersonal experience of SWIMS life, and SWIM has had many. SWIM ended a year and a half long relationship the next day based on a newfound sense of self discovered in the experience. SWIM has never felt the same again about anything. SWIM soon quit using all antidepressants and began using psychedelics more often. Depression gave way to creativity and self actualization. SWIM suspects this combo to induce some very powerful and rare state of mind, seeing as the two drugs that have opposite effects and are both effecting the brain at once. Has anyone else ever done this? If so was it at all positive?

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

Why does SWIY think it was the interaction between LSD and Lithium that created this state of mind and not the interaction of other drugs/medications? (wellbutrin, adderall, lamictal) Or are you saying it was the mixture of all these drugs/medications? Quite a cocktail you have going there, do you know how safe this mix is?

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

because lithium is the most powerful of these drugs, the lamictal may have done something but im pretty sure the wellbutrin and adderoll didnt do much. this combo is definatly very dangerouse ive read several accounts of siezures and hospitalization.

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

Bottom Line Department: SWIM was very fortunate. We'll never know if the results were due to this combination, or part. Or due to a sudden, unplanned release of data from the subconscious. Whatever did it: Congratulations to SWIM and welcome home.

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

I was diagnosed bipolar and suffered extreme mood swings. i could not find a solid sense of self i was lost in an existential state. it seemed imposible to know who i was or why i was or what i wanted or what i was doing alive. during the experience i saw my entire being disentigrate into oblivion, and while i was totally gone there was still something, i still had a perspective, one solid and eternal all incompasing viewpoint. ever since ive held onto this feeling or place and regarded it as my spirit. i still have mood swings but i can see them for what they are, except them and digest them.

All it sounds like is that SWIY took LSD. LSD certainly has beneficial components if given to the right folks during the right time in the right amount. SWIM believe LSD to have great potential in helping with addiction. The reason see this is exactly what SWIY is saying, One can now see that things happen for a reason, and look at them differently. SWIM has taken LSD and found it to work wonders on helping SWIM quit alcohol, cigarrettes, cocaine. SWIM is now clean as can be except for the occasional psychadelic experience. But as we all know halucinogenic healing will never get it's righteous spot where it belongs. Now this is not saying that one should ever mix this combo again, like all have said SWIY is most certainly lucky.

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

SWIY may want to check out the post in The Euphoric Body - Drug Combinations - Psychedelics & Lithium. This may possibly shed some light on lithium's role in the 5-HT receptor and how this could have possible effects on LSDs binding potential in the brain.

Re: accidental LSD and LITHIUM reaction

My goat has epilepsy and also takes Lamictal + Keppra and Epilim.

But he doesn't think that Lamictal really does anything as far as mixing drugs goes. Lamictal just makes him a little drowsy O_o

He once got put on a dose of 4 tablets morning and night. After a day or so of that dosage he couldn't stand up without falling over lol.

So yeah, he doubts that anything affected the trip.

Just sounds like SWIY had a really good and enlightening trip
