Avoiding opium addiction via periodic use
How long is necessary to wait between sucessive opium uses if one wishes to avoid dependency? If one wishes to keep her/his tolerance down?
In The Heroin User's Handbook Frances Moraes recommends >= 48 hrs "off" H (meaning end of last use to beginning of next), basing this somehow on the metabolism rate of H. As opium (orally) seems to last longer than H, SWIM was going to wait 72 hrs. Is this sufficient? Will it also save him money by keeping tolerance down? Also, what can SWIM do to pass the time? Obv not other opiates, and most likely not kratom, but would drinking wind up necessataing a longer "down time"? Also, on a related note, how stable are the chemicals in opium in an H2O solution? In an ethanol/H2O mix? As a foodstuff, how long can PPT keep before going bad? |
