What does green tea do?

Topic is simple enough. How (if it does) does green tea help clean out your system? Does it work for meth? Needing to know soon as possible, thanks.

Re: What does green tea do?

green tea has caffeine, caffeine is a diuretic-- one would imagine with enough caffeine and enough water (remembering of course to add salt so as to not die of water poisoning) someone could flush their system rather well? It should also be noted that b complex vitamins apparently help colour urine, so 3 gallons of water in someone's bladder prior to the test wont look like its been diluted to any huge degree..

I suppose some otc stimulants might show a false positive too if one was to take some for a cold and then list it prior to the test... if someone wanted to take that route? no idea how well this works, but I hear the tests aren't very specific for amphetamine based drugs

anyway I've never read anything specific about green tea and drug tests, so I suppose if there is added benefit someone will post more on that, it cant hurt either way though

good luck to whoever it is you're collecting information for

Re: What does green tea do?

Green tea, like all tea contains caffeine and tannin, but less caffeine than coffee. It is a mild stimulant. Green tea is basically un-fermented red/ black tea.

Green tea contains anti-oxidants called catechins. It is said that they help the body fight cancer. It is also supposed to help reduce cholesterol, reduce blood sugar, to burn fat and to help prevent liver disease. It helps digestion. However, it is no wonder cure.

It tastes very refreshing. It is very common in Japan but also, of course, in China

White tea is said to be even more healthy!

Will green tea help with meth recovery? Not much, very much, I think. A little perhaps.

Quote:
The researchers injected high and low doses of the experimental compound into mice and found that though at low doses, it counteracted free radical damage; it produced liver toxicity at high concentrations. Low concentration admistered is roughly equivalent to the amount of the polyphenols commonly found in black tea/ green tea packages.

Yes-- if you are a rat and have large amounts of synthetic polyphenols injected into yourself.

Drinking tea is probably good for you. Eating large amounts of 'green tea' pills or equivalent is probably bad for you!

Re: What does green tea do?

Green tea is mean to have many healthy properties. The japanese drink it daily but all their other cuisine is healthy too and as such have the longest life expectancy in the world (even though they are seriously heavy smokers!)

Re: What does green tea do?

Yes, the Japanese are supposed to have the most healthy cuisine in the world (low in fat, high on fish and vegetables), but the longest life expectancy, for men anyway, is in Hong Kong (although not really a country), but that will likely change as the pollution is so bad in recent years. The Chinese are great tea drinkers but mostly 'red' (or black) tea.

Quote:
Looking at countries around the world, Hong Kong has the longest life expectancy for men at 78.4 years (2001 figure), followed by Japan, and Iceland at 78.1 years (2001 figure). Japan had the highest life expectancy for women, followed by Hong Kong at 84.6 years and Switzerland at 82.6 years (2000 figure).

Re: What does green tea do?

Actually, it appears Andorra has the greatest life expectancy....I've always heard Japan referred to as the No.1 for life expectancy but apparently it is the next on the list. That said, Andorra has a tiny population (71,000) and as such can be subject to change very easily.

Re: What does green tea do?

Those seem to be average figures for both sexes between 1998 and 2000. Japan does seem to be best overall-- for a reasonable-sized place anyway!
