Importing DXM and BZP powder

Swim is about to make a bulk order for 1kg of BZP and same for DXM. Both will come in separate packages from ***** and both will be addressed to a company's name that swim registered at his address. Do you think swim would have any problems with packages getting through customs?

Never discuss this sort of thing in an open forum like this. If you hadn't posted it here I would have said that chances are you won't get caught, but mentioning your plans on a website that is regularly (if not constantly) being trawled by Law Enforcement would probably significantly increase the chances of your parcel being searched. The risk of bringing in such large amounts of controlled substances is large enough without flagging up the fact that you are doing so on this website.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Neither DXM or BZP are controlled by the Misuse of Drugs Act, so there's no need to worry about importing Class A substances. In fact, DXM is specifically excluded from the Misuse of Drugs Act.

This doesn't mean that they won't be seized; but there won't be any big punishments associated with this.

However make sure that your house is clean, as it's just possible that a seizure might prompt the old bill to have a friendly word.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Agreed Fubai - certainly theoretically they could put an alert out for parcels although how safe this is practice is in any event is a moot point. Firstly can we establish the legal standing of these chemicals? I heard that BZP was legal and now its restricted. Does anyone have the definitive legal status to hand of these 2 substances? Clearly if they are proscribed as Class A (as you suggest DXM may be), then importation of a kilo could translate into a long stretch as a sub-human in HM Hell-Hole.

I checked on Wikipedia and, although the list is not exauhstive it is not mentioned there, but there is no doubt that BZP and DXM are both controlled substances. BZP pills were being removed from headshops throughout this year and I'm pretty sure that they are illegal.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Are there no other UK laws like the medicines act that restrict this and pose risk to importing these substances? Kilo quantities clearly indicate unlicensed importation & distribution of medicines. As the medicines are not distributed under registered brands or by registered companies, the medicines might be considered as counterfeit medicines.

Can anyone add information about this?

Currently the EU is particularly interested in medicines coming from China and India.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

BZP and DXM are not scheduled in the MDA. See my post above.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Can a mod please edit out the courrier info too (in the qouted post as well), I cant seem to find an edit button.
I think for BZP one needs a medical license to sell it (though its still sold a plenty, online and in shops), other than that its legal to own and consume, I assume. DXM as far as I know is completly legal here too. Only thing that worries me is what to do if they ask me why I'm ordering such large quantities.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Personal importation of medicines (if not controlled substances) is permitted.

Kilogram quantities could not be classed as "for personal use" however. They also don't have any realistic alternative uses (I.e for photo development or growing tomatoes).

So in theory someone could be prosecuted for attempted production and supply of prescription only medication [under the medicines act] - the realities of this are probably a bit uncertain.

SWIM would certainly suggest if it gets blocked by customs not getting arrogant about ones right to obtain them.

In that case I think I'll refrain from ordering and try find a place witch takes smaller minimum orders.

Re: Importing DXM and BZP powder

Whatever it is, Law Enforcement should have interest into such large quantities. This smells like fake ecstasy. Even if it would be legal, LE still are interested, because they could MAYBE find something in the house that is illegal. Or at least (and even more interesting) they would love to track and find the buyers as well. Since being a person with quantities - one could lead to another person with quantities to finally bust the whole network.
