Recognising different types of cannabis

Swim is wondering if there is an easy way to recognise different kinds of weed. Becouse swim is getting the feeling that he is being ripped of these days ( when he is buying off the street )
It use to be easier ( when the quality wasn't that good u would have alot and when it was good quality you would have less ) but now it seems like everyone is getting way to focussed on the money.

So thats why im asking , to prevent swim from loosing alot of money.
