I am strugling to understand something.
when a substance is snorted ie ket or coke is it or isnt it injested because once its been snorted it then makes it way down your throat, so if someone took ketamine by snorting it, effects lasting an hour or watever would then follow more effects after due to injesting it. swim noticed when snorting coke had strange heartbeat patterns hours after taking it. Any knowledge here???????????????????? |

Re: Question about snorting
Intra-nasal use of substances like ketamine and cocaine can produce more instantaneous effects due to how the mucus membranes of the inner-nose act. If a large amount is snorted, some of the substance will seep from the nose and down into the throat possibly creating a shorter, milder return in effects.

Re: Question about snorting
I wouldn't think so because if you can taste the drip then it is to far down towards the throat to be absorbed through the nasel membrane. it may be more benificial to just swallow it imo.

To maximise, when SWIY get drip SWIY could just (roll it around ) the gums if SWIY can stand the taste. It is SWIMS understanding that the substance in question (coke or K or whatever) will be absorbed through the gums in the same way as the nasal membrains (someone correct me if this is not correct) and is the reason that SWIM has been know on occasion to be picking there nose and rubbing the retreived substances onto the gum area.Regards, Me. |

Re: Question about snorting
If this is the case, what causes K cramps? SWIM's boyfriend takes about 3g a day, barely eats and doesn't drink anything other than alcohol and they assumed the cramps were due to too much ketamine in the body.. not enough water... ? He never spits out the drip.

Re: Question about snorting
If you mean K pains, these are caused by excessive abuse of ketamine. 3g/day would certainly qualify for that. Use the search engine for more information.

Re: Question about snorting
I dunno.... SWIM knows so many people who have fucked up insides and constant k cramps because they don't... SWIM's friend was in hospital for a week because of something to do with his stomach lining (this was a couple of years ago so can't remember exactly) thanks to his ketamine addiction.
I really don't think it's worth it. |

Re: Question about snorting
Swim knows some people who spit out the drip and re-snort it.
Of course, the amount of ketamine that is left in the drip is completely negligible but Swim believes it's quite low, and not enough to have any noticeable effect. To avoid any problems with Swim's digestive system and not wanting K-pains, Swim presses the drip around his gums and mouth using his tongue, then spits it out and disposes of it. |

Re: Question about snorting
"That has little or nothing to do with the drip, but rather the effects of ketamine itself"
bingo spiting the drip out just skips that nasty taste you would swallow if you loved me |

Re: Question about snorting
swim always spits, even when swim goes for a massive k binge. (30grams over 5 days) and swim has never had any k pain/cramps.

Re: Question about snorting
Instead of snorting which damages your septum, especially with acidic or basic drugs, you should plug them. Safer and more effective.

Re: Question about snorting
Also, if you are grossed out by plugging. If one is snorting something and it gets stuck in the throat you one kind of cough the substance into the mouth(especially under te tongue) and try to hold it in the mouth for ten to fifteen minutes. The mouth has many mucous membranes and should be slightly more effective than swallowing it.

Re: Question about snorting
Haha, plugging K. SWIM totally forgot about that... her nose was the first to get a hole in so she was the guinea-pig. Instead of dissolving in water, SWIM just used large rocks of the stuff. Just the same as you'd do with pills...
SWIM says the onset took a while (like.. 10 mins) but once it kicked in it was like old school effects and it lasted for ages (like an hour.. hour and a half?). Proper loss of motor controls and a slightly distorted perception. SWIM caned it for 2 years so hadn't k-holed sicne then... so it was a refreshing experience. Recommended, if you're open to that kinda thing

Re: Question about snorting
When you snort something it is absorbed through the nasal lining. When it drips, it is either wasted or the onset is slower.
