Side effects - Whats with the NAUSEA?!

Swim has been reading about the street vendors in Malaysia. They are boiling big vats of kratom leaves for 2 hours. Then they strain the drink into little bags or cups. School children are buying these after school. The reports say the children experience a stimulant high and mild hallucinations. It seems to be a big hit with the school children. Now kids wouldnt drink it so much if they were doubling over and vomiting everytime they drank it would they? The reports say the school kids drink it at lunch. Yet if Swim drinks it with any food in his stomach= he hurls. Is it because the vendors are using fresh leaves? Is it because there is some additive in it? Is it because the chemicals change into a nausea brew when oxidised? Input on this subject please.
