Subcutaneous cocaine injection
SWIM knows one is not supposed to use cocaine subcutaneously. But how dangerous is it really? SWIM knows people get abcesses easily, but is it that probable if SWIM boils the cook well first (to kill bacteria)? Also, has anybody tried it? I am wondering what it would be like. SWIM was thinking that it may be a good idea to do some when coming down, due to the slow penetration to the blood stream, which would let the drug gradually leave the system.

Re: Subcutaneous Cocaine
SWIJ's initial thought was that this would be a bad idea, and here's an abstract for SWIYou:
Focal Necrotizing Panniculitis and vascular necrosis in Rats Given Subcutaneous Injections of Cocaine Hydrochloride Danny W. Scott Joan I. Morrell and Ellen M. Vernotica (Journal of Cutaneous Pathology Volume 24 Issue 1 Page 25 - June 1997) Subcutaneous injections of cocaine hydrochloride in sterile physiological saline were administered to rats at a dosage of 20 or 40 mg. kg Resultant skin lesions included focal areas of alopecia (within 1 to 2 days) which progressed to necrosis (within 2 to 7 days). Histologically, the skin lesions were characterized by necrotizing panniculitis and vascular necrosis, with only small numbers of inflammatory cells. The lesions may be ischemic in nature, and associated with cytotoxic properties of cocaine. |

Re: Subcutaneous Cocaine
Due to constriction of the blood vessels(one of the reasons it used to be used as a local anesthetic, to stop bleeding) the blood flow to the surface of the sking will be cut off, which cuase necrosis of the skin as Jatelka mentioned.

Re: Subcutaneous Cocaine
SWIM pleads ignorance in advance. After picking up the needle, SWIM's mostly IV'd coke, but has occasionallly IM'd it with zero negative consequences. Possibly this was just luck tho. So 2 questions:
1. Why sub-q instead of just IM? 2. Why would sub-q be dangerous when IM isn't? Or maybe it is and SWIM just got lucky, tho he knows others personally who all have experiences similar to his own. - Beltane |

Re: Subcutaneous Cocaine
SWIM ended up trying it with no adverse affects, though thanks SWIJ, doesn't sound like something one should do (although, weren't those pretty high doses?). Beltane, SWIM wanted to do SubQ because he only had 28 guages. He has done IM and it worked well. SWIM doesn't know how well the SubQ worked because he was coming down from a large dose of IV cocaine.

Re: for fun discussion, injecting yeyo in gums?
I dunno, it sounds like it'd work, but im no health specialist. They ingect what is it, novacane and procaine into ur mouth, but wait... nvm, those are not even remotely similar to coke, so ignore that.
However, a dear friend of mine would like to add on to ur question and pose another question for this wonderful drug-forum; is it possible to take cocaine anally? My dear friend told me he tried a little bit and he thought it did something, but then again he was totally LIT at the time so.... yea. |

Re: for fun discussion, injecting yeyo in gums?
that's likely but if swiy wanted to ingest cocaine for more availability could take capsules filled with baking soda, (Sodium bicarbonate). the stomach acids are what destroys 60% of cocaine, and the baking soda (a base) neutralizes it.

Re: Subcutaneous cocaine injection
NIK has done this when he missed IV shots. He has had the skin bubble, then turn into an ulcer, then scab over and take a really long time to heal. Swim has not had this happen to him in over 18 months, and still has prominent scars from various similar mishaps.
Don't inject coke sub-cutaneously. FC |
