Gastric bypass

I reciently had gastric bypass 3 weeks ago and had some questions.

With gastric bypass, my stomach has been completely bypassed so anything I consume goes right into my large intenstins. Ive been told that consuming one drink would have be pretty buzzed, another would have me totally drunk. So im guessing that applies to everything I take orally. 20mg of hydrocodone takes care of the pain from surgery but also has the benefit of making me feel friggin awesome. So umm my question is, taking OTC liquid pain meds going to do the same thing because of the surgery?

I skimmed it before but just read it now. Should I have used swim? I didnt think it was needed because of the nature of my post but please let me know for future reference.
