Swim has read many things online about not taking certain drugs with SSRI's and he is pretty sure that Trazodone is an SSRI and that Tramadol has dangerous interactions with it. However, Swim read into it more and it seems that Trazodone isn't in the same class as SSRI's.
Swim takes Tramadol daily and recently got a few sample pills of Trazodone that he wants to experiment with because he has been having some insomnia for the past few weeks. Swim basically wants to know if his daily dose (400 mg) of tramadol will interact with 100 mg of Trazodone that he will take at bedtime.
Also, if there are interactions, when would Swim be able to take the Trazodone? Just any day that Swim doesn't take Tramadol? or would swim have to stay off Tramadol for longer before taking the Trazodone? And Vice-Versa, if swim takes the trazodone, how long would he have to wait to take Tramadol again?
Sorry for all the questions, but Swim has read about waiting 14 days and such for MAOI's and was curious if the same went for SSRI's. Thanks!
