Exclamation Smoking DMT

Hi fellow trippers, Swim would like to know if anybody can relate to swim's recent DMT experiences.....
Swim is an experienced psychedelic user. It all started when swim started smoking DMT frequently. He did it three days in a row three weeks ago. on that third day he got a very scary trip. It wasn't necessarily the trip that was scary but the physical effects of the trip. He smoked it and had a good trip but during the trip his heart started POUNDING! Swim started freaking out because his heart was beating so hard he was sure it was going to explode. This continued even after the trip subsided. He eventually calmed down and decided to take it easy w/DMT. Today swim has some left over so he decided to give it another shot......BAD IDEA. He entered a trip that was calm when all of a sudden his heart started pounding VERY HARD. While this was happening his arms and hands became numb and got leg tremors.... Swim decided to listen to what his body is telling him and never touch DMT again.
My question to you is has anybody had negative physical effects from smoking DMT such as Swim described?

Re: Smoking DMT

Could be the DMT telling you "use me wisely, not recreationally". But thats only SWIMs opinon. There has to be so many factors involved with having a good trip, lining 3 trips up back to back would be pushing the limit for most....

Re: Smoking DMT

Good point pyroarchy. SWIM has the same opinion. The third time SWIM smoked DMT he rushed home during a break from school, quickly devoured a few beers and began nailing some elfspice. Before he could even take a second toke he had a nervous, rushing, scary feeling as the hallucinations were coming on. There was an overwhelming feeling of something or someone saying "This is not what it's for! Don't use it like this! Stop Now!". And STOP he did. Luckily the effects quickly subsided. There wasn't a full breakthrough dose in the pipe anyway, and SWIM's glad there wasn't. From then on, SWIM does not rush into a DMT experience. He chills and waits for the mood and calmness to come to him, then the trip is very interesting, awe inspiring, and pretty pleasurable! Good Luck...There making gifts..for you!

Re: Smoking DMT

swim too recently started smoking dmt.. he did it three days in a row as well.. probably 15 times in total in three days.. he hasnt gotten the crazy heart pounding like that.. but he does notice small, quick, and sharp pains in the chest that subside very quickly.. hopefully this wont be a recurring thing.. this was saturday-sunday-monday so he really cant say if its done anything permanent yet.. but when he listens to terence mckenna and hears that he's only done it 30-40 times in his life time, and swim did half that in a weekend... yall are right, its not recreational at all.. gotta respect it, and use it wisely and not make it a habit, because then im sure it loses all novelty and the health problems start

Re: Smoking DMT

Dr. Rick Strassman has stated in his book "The Spirit Molecule" that at the peak of a DMT experience blood pressure and heart rate rise quite a bit. During his screening process for volunteers, anyone with high blood pressure was disqualified from participating. If SWIY has high blood pressure there is a risk of heart problems from DMT...otherwise it has been proven over thousands of years of oral use to be relatively harmless to the body.

Re: Smoking DMT

DMT was tested in pharmaceutical trials in Europe to treat depression and to my knowledge even though very high repeated doses were often found to be scary it is a very safe molecule.
