How much powder to take?

Hi, say for example a friend of SWIM's obtained some powder that was reputed to be pure powdered MDMA.... How much of this powder should he take in order to enjoy a full on XTC experience? I think SWIM would like to base his intake on the average amount of MDMA in a street pill - but he doesn't know what this average generally is?

He knows he would certainly never take more than 4 street pills in a single session (due to the XTC law of diminishing returns), but he wants to make sure he has the most full on hard assed experience possible.

I know it's a kind of 'how long is a 'piece of string' question, as it all depends on purity, however again, providing SWIM restricts himself to an average street pill type does, he doesn't really envisage any problems.

Any input would be welcomed.

mdma powder does not equal "ecstasy pills"...if one has pure mdma powder they really shouldn't try to be thinking about it in context of other experiences with street pills. You will probably be hard pressed to find someone to claim an average of mdma in a street pill...this can vary dramatically w/ geography, time , and people.

The dose of this has been covered on D-F but Shulgin along with others agree that 120mg with a 40mg boost at 1 hr is a solid dose.

ok a good pill will contain about 70-100mg of MDMA. so if swiy wants to get a trip similar to 1 pill that'd be the range to aim for. usually my pet requires about 120mg to get a good hard experience. my pet usually does about 3 x 120mg in one night spaced out every 3 hours or so, although my pet has been doing it for about a year now. he'd suggest swiy start off with the pill dosage and see where it takes him. its better to start off slowly and build up, rather than to take a big dose and become overwhelmed.

I know this is a stupid question, but is there a simple way to test for the presence of talcum powder? Although it contains many little white crystaline shards, SWIM's powder smells of cheap talcum powder also (the kind peeps give at XMas that no one really wants - like the old school Hia Karate brand from the 1970's).

SWIM is dissapointed at such a cheap trick, although he asumes his stuff will still be of a much higher purity than normal street stuff.

Even if it was talcum powder swim would advise 100mg to start you off. If after an hour and a half you are feeling good and fancy another hour out of your roll hit a 40mg dose.

You cant get higher, just prolong the effect of the first 100mg.

It turns out the talcum powder smell was just off the guy who sold it to SWIM, he had just had just had a shower. It had big chunks of pure cystal MDMA in it. So no complaints really.

100mg is the average dose.
