SWIM just got a Desoxyn Rx

SWIM is wondering what is a good amount to feel a good high with no tolerance and what is the best route of administration?

SWIM wont be injecting, hes got quite a fear of needles even in a needed situation like a doc or hospital visit haha. SWIM is enjoying the experience of 10mg insufflated but it is subtle but very nice (maybe because of the 2mg xanax ingested orally)

Wise choice, swim only seen one bad over-amp, and it was on these pills. A foaf iv around 50mgs and was flopping around on the floor. Been scared of them ever since.

those arent very good injected, they have way too much talc aswell as other crap, 5mg in a pill that size is not going to separate out too well. daddy says crush and snort 2 of the pills

10mg is pretty nice with 2mg of alprazolam but tomorrow SWIM will try 10mg without the alprazolam. this weekend he will try 20-25 insufflated. could you tell me how 20-25 will be like if ya got experience with that dose?

o also how long does it usually last through oral or insufflation i think SWIMs psych said the half life was 8hrs i believe.. SWIMs psych said to start at 1-2 twice a day. would anyone have some insight on other suggestions?

starting Monday i am going to start keeping a journal on how desoxyn is going, like regular use, weekend shenanigans and if/when tolerance builds up and when SWIM takes a "drug vacation" and such. i wont be wasting posts on the whole thing but some days or events that are important i will post here.

how long does desoxyn usually last? SWIM is supposed to take 10mg 2x daily and it doesnt say how many hours anywhere SWIM searches or on the bottle he has.

Fair warning: from what I've seen, recreational use will rapidly build tolerance to levels that make therapeutic use problematic. If SWIY netted this rare expensive prescription for purposes of treating a condition you actually suffer from and wish to treat, I recommend against using it for euphoria.

^^ agreed, swiy should keep the dose low and therapeutic if using for therapeutic reasons- there are plenty of other drugs out there for the weekends, and its not like a low dose is gonna be boring. If swiy ups the dose too much they'll be creating massive tolerance which doesn't go back down very easily- amphetamines are pretty bad for long term tolerance, even with holidays. The last thing swiy needs is a crazy tolerance to half the medications they need to perform daily

On a similar note, I just thought I'd point out that dxm or magnesium will help slow the building of tolerance, and tums will increase absorption (so swiy needs to take less for the same effects)-- ginkgo biloba is good too as it decreases toxicity and helps memory at the same time

don't know where anyone got the idea SWIM was planning to use these for recreation or abuse, if it was his 1st post saying "to get a good high" i apologize on SWIMs behalf. He meant it as a curious query to maybe try once. he knows what he has and he is RXed it for a reason and NEVER abuses his medication to the point of addiction or tolerance. when SWIMs tolerance has reached the point of no effect at the docs recommended dose SWIM knows to take a "drug vacation" or something of the sort, whichever is best for SWIMs health and tolerance.

eltimmy got it right, SWIM got this medication to treat a real condition and it has helped him plenty so far with no side effects to SWIMs surprise. The Desoxyn has helped more so than adderall ever did or any anti depressant they tried to push in SWIMs face. After 3 psychs and being misdiagnosed many times. SWIMs current psych is a great man and knows how to listen to SWIM and treat him.

SWIM and his psych have a great relationship. He knows SWIM and they both have respect for one another as equal human beings. SWIMs psych knows he is a bright young man and knows about medication because he is very paranoid ever since they RXed him his 1st program of Celexa and Risperdal which drove SWIM nuts for 2 months.

SWIM was just extremely depressed and desperate at the time and gave the "mystery meds" as SWIM likes to call them a try. After he learned about SSRIs and after his personal experience he knew they were not for him plus his research led him into finding other medications that could possibly be of help that his last psychs never even thought to mention. oh and SWIM never had signs of abuse or ever really abused his prescriptions anyway to begin with.

SWIMs program now is 10mg Desoxyn (D-Methamphetamine) 2x daily and 2mg Xanax (Alprazolam) 2 as needed daily and 1/2 at bedtime.

This is his 1st month with desoxyn and maybe his 6th or 8th month with xanax prescribed. a rare combination to be prescribed yes but so far the best damn thing to happen to SWIM in 8yrs when it comes to his mental state.

After SWIMs cocaine days he is not one to ever play with stimulants and where SWIM lives xanax is wanted as badly as crack or crystal meth and has seen some of the worst benzo side effects possible, including seizures to car accidents.

SWIMs only benzo problem was his addiction to selling them >< which he does not do anymore because people ended up stealing his xanax behind his back at his home and when he would go long periods without them his anxiety/OCD would return and he realized how much he really did need his medication. somehow SWIM went from 75 2mg bars to less than 20 in a week and selling only 20 at the most. so now SWIM hides his bottle in a very good spot and tells friends he does not receive them anymore.

SWIM respects his doctor and his medication and the good they can do for him and others. although SSRIs and the such made SWIMs symptoms ten fold i still respect the help they give people able to take them with minimal to no side effects, he just knows they are not for him.

and I asked how long they last so SWIM would know when to take his 2nd dose, not that he would take some SWIYs advice he is just curious to what peoples opinions are or what they know.

his usual day is: breakfast at around 8am or so and 10mg Desoxyn afterwards usually at 8:30-9am the latest and his 2nd dose usually around 2-3pm. if SWIM had all his xanax he would take 1mg with each dose and extra if needed but most of the time 1mg works fine if not he will bump it to 2mg which is what is advised. insomnia nowadays comes rarely and when it does 1mg of xanax will do the trick if not 2mg depending on his rate of use that month(rate of use, days on break and etc) which shows SWIM how many alprazolam tablets he has to use for the rest of the month.

SWIM has extreme willpower compared to what he has seen from people years younger to decades older and knows he handles himself and could care less what someone who knows shit for chocolate around his town thinks. SWIM has put cocaine down after his morning line was not effective and did not touch the white lady for over a year. and when injured dropped oxycodone after 3 months of daily use needed 4 injury and did not touch it for 10 months and enjoys it every couple weeks and wont combine meds either.

SWIM is not trying to say hes superman or anything but he is just trying to point out he has his medication and uses it because he needs it to live a balanced and progressive life and he uses it wisely.

Xanax knocks SWIM out for 7 hours straight, literally. SWIM also wakes up with no clue what happened when he wakes up, until he thinks. Fuck Xanax.

SWIM has another question, is there a difference in duration between oral and insufflation of the desoxyn 5mg pills? SWIM wont be abusing he just likes to insufflate things like cigarette smokers get used to just holding something like a cig or smoking one. So SWIM would most likely with his morning or evening dose of 10mg sallow 5mg and insufflate 5mg. or SWIM is just peachy with oral administration

SWIM also heard that only the old versions could be insufflated and not the 5mg that are only available today, but when SWIM saw the ingredient list he saw nothing that seemed like it would stop the absorption in the nose.

yes the duration will be affected by crushing up the pills, even though they aren't timed released, the effects come on quicker insuflating and stronger so they cant last as long. 5mg can only go so far, either they are taken orally and they last 6hours or sniffed and they last only 3 hours. I am speaking from expeirences the talking parrot has passed along to me.

SWIM thought so, that the duration would be shorter accompanied by a rush or quicker action but wasn't sure because he saw on some other forum he believes that it lasts the same insufflated but just gives a rush because it is methamphetamine. SWIM knew very little about meth until his recent research so instead of believing some unknown googled forum he asked his trusted drugs-forum

thanks for clearing that up, SWIM needs to study and didn't want to sniff one at 6 and be up till 4-6am if insufflation lasts 6hrs or less SWIM is happy. this information will help him very much so for some nightly study sessions. SWIM likes to sleep so he would rarely pull all nighters if at all. he hasn't yet but might do so come college final time. thanks again ^_^

did you ever think maybe it was the dose? jesus did you take like 4 of the 2mg bars or what? or if it was a dose of below 2mg your body reacted very strangely. because unless taken in high doses what you stated seems pretty damn impossible.

Sorry about that, I thought the thread had turned into a discussion of Xanax in general.

If you're asking me on that last part, SWIM got that effect when snorting a full bar.

SWIM also had that effect one night when he did like 1-3 bars (can't remember) and also had many shots of hard rum, plus some coke, and a bit of weed. SWIM woke up in the middle of the street at about 8am that night, not kidding. Haha...
