Ok there seems to be conflicting opinions on this so swim decided to start this thread. What is everyones opinion on consuming kratom as a tea? Is it effective? What is the best way to brew it? What sort of dosage are you looking at if made into tea compared to eating the leaves or powder, higher dose needed? Same? Lower?

Now swim as stated in other threads prefers whole/crushed leaf, for many reasons..

Two, you don't have to down all that powder and trust me when a little tolerance builds up; 13+grams of powder is alot to take. Also when brewing your own tea, you can boil it down to as little as shot glass before it turns into resin making it easier to take. Lastly in swims opinion brewing your own tea from the leaves has a much stronger effect than preparing a tea with the powder.
As far as dosage it's gonna take some trial and error till swiy find his ideal Kratom dose since every individual is different. However it's advisable to start w/ 5-6grams and see how swiys feel. Depending on how swiy feels he can add or lessen thee amount for next time. peace.

Ofcourse you get the most for your money when you buy the Kratom (whole leaf/crushed leaf), yeah the preparation takes a bit longer however it is well worth it. The Kratom (resin) is ideal if you’re on the go and don't have time to brew a batch of tea, a bit more in price, still worth it, however you could save some money and go w/ the whole leaf and just make your own resin ... the Kratom (powder) also good as well, quick and ideal when your on the go, just add to liquid and drink, the only downside is the powder is not for every1, esspecially users like SWIM, since once some tolerance is built and one finds themselves dosing around 26-30grams, trust swim, you do not want to be drinking all that powder, instead brewing your own tea from the whole/crushed leaf is the BEST way to go since it's PURE LIQUID and you also have the advatage of boiling your dose down to a single shot.

Ofcourse it is, why wouldn't it be your basically just extracting the alkaloids from the leaves and stems.

Depending on your tolerance an ideal dosage regardless the form (powder or leaf) dose accordingly. Also the type of Kratom (bali/thai and so on) (potency) play a huge role in deciding dosage.
Swims Standard Kratom Brew (tea preparation)
30grams of Bali whole/crushed leaf
Added to 500 ml of water (in general you want enough water so the leaves have enough room to be mixed/moved around)
Bring to a boil and let simmer until volume is significantly reduced
Strain the leaves and re-boil (you can re-boil as many times as you feel necessary)
Eventually discard leaves and combine all liquids together and boil down to however little volume you desire.
Now for swim this would provide two doses, 15gram each (swims tolerance went down, woot! ) So basically when brewing Kratom use as much material as you want and store it. You can also brew a single dose though swim finds it worth brewing quanity since brewing the tea in general takes some time/effort. However make sure if one plans to brew quantity (several doses) not to let the Kratom sit in the fridge too long, about a week maximum.
Precautions:
Be warned to keep a careful eye not to burn the liquid also not to boil too long since it will turn to resin or for that matter become very syrupy.
.peace.
