DXM is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, being known to cause serotonin syndrome with SSRIs. MK-801, an experimental NMDA antagonist, increases serotonin neurotransmission. Ketamine has antidepressant effects, but they are not likely to be caused by anything serotonin-related.

As usual, if unsure - avoid. If stubborn, start at low doses and work way up.

SWIM is also worried about this as he wishes to buy ketamine over the weekend but has recently been put on an SSRI again. Anyone have experience with this? Since SWIM is pretty sure ketamine has nothing to do with seratonin he assumes it would be safe, although he knows DXM can have adverse effects. He is also wondering about PCP, not because he plans on doing it, but if dissassociatives in general effect SSRI medications.

SWIM has been on 40mg of fluoxetine(prozac) for over a year and had a healthy ketamine habit with no adverse symptoms.
