Re: Inderol
Inderal is propanolol. It is a beta-blocker used for high blood-pressure and an assortment of other things as well. UTFSE to find out more - or try google.
It is NOT a sleeping-pill and should not be used without proper knowledge. It can be dangerous mixed with certain other molecules on board. Title changed. |

Re: Question regarding Inderal
Inderal is Propranolol (a beta-blocker).
See this thread here... http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...hlight=sarcasm for more on beta-blocker's lack of recreational potential |

Re: Question regarding Inderal
Inderal can be very nice to have handy if someone uses stimulants, since it reduces physical side effects but does not interfere with the stimulant's wanted effects in the brain. The reason is it does not cross the blood-brain barrier. But anti-psychotic? - no.

Re: Question regarding Inderal
Jatelka's link pretty much says it all. It also stresses against using beta blockers with stimulants and although SWIM doesn't know for certain it doesn't sound like a great idea at all! (ie mixing the two). Beta blockers such as propranonol (inderal) are good for high blood pressure and if you're caking it before a big speech in front of a scary audience- recreationally redundant. This thread should be moved to the main area of various drugs because an anti-psychotic it most certainly is not.

Re: Question regarding Inderal
>Inderal can be very nice to have handy if someone uses stimulants,
Bad advice. Using a beta-blocker with stimulants can create a toxic interaction (vasoconstriction) due to unopposed activity at cardiac alpha receptors. >The reason is it does not cross the blood-brain barrier Propranolol DOES cross the blood-brain barrier, and I strongly suspect the subjective effects of stimulants will be reduced as a result. |
