Good old xtc?

Swim remembers when he took xtc at the end of 80's and beginning of 90's, the effect kicked in one hour later and last much longer (20 hours). Even if swim didn't take xtc for 15 years and swim tried it recently, nowadays xtc kicks is after 20 minute and last 3-4 hours. Swim tried several explanations:
-I'm getting old
-It was mda
-According to the source he had at that time, swim think that the good ones were made in order to be released in the bowel rather than in the stomach…
Any idea?

i think it was mda i looked it up on wiki and there is said mda has a much longer effect then mdma
and i think it's your resistance against the stuff to probebly..

The above description for MDMA sounds right.

The duration for MDA is said to be 4 - 6 hours.

HAHA your not getting old, your pretty much correct. It probably was MDA, but at the same time give this a thought...
Most X is made in meth labs for a profit, especially in the USA-and is made with much less quality then in the past, same with cocaine---great in the 80's and much worse now
With time, people get cheaper and learn more ways to scam out a few more dollars, even if it means quality...
Also, the color you did matters to...WHITE/Light colors are the best for sure, and leave you feeling decent the next day
DARK colors still give you a roll, but they are much more dirty becuase they are filled with more strict 9, which is why you would get up with like neck pains and back aches the next day

I don't know what SWIY was buying in the late 80's/early 90's, but MDMA does not have a duration of 20 hours. The duration is approximately 3 to 5 hours depending on body weight, stomach contents, dosage, etc.

MDA does have a slightly longer duration, but not much longer (definately not enough to add an extra 15 to 17 hours to the duration).

I'm no biologist, but I don't think this is even possible. When taken orally, MDMA dissolves in the stomach; not in the bowels.

Also, the color you did matters to...WHITE/Light colors are the best for sure, and leave you feeling decent the next day

The colour of a pill does not matter. Just check out some pill-testing sites and see for SWIYourself. White pills could have anything in them, including potentially fatal drugs such as PMA. The same goes for coloured pills.

The colour of a pill means nothing. It's just novelty value and a way for manufacturers to give their product a "brand name" of sorts (pink motorolas, blue dolphins, etc).

But anyways: yes, the quality of ecstasy tablets has fallen since the late 80's. Ecstasy tablets are now often cut with cheaper drugs such as methamphetamine to maximize profits. If SWIY took a tablet that was full of impurities, of course the effects/duration would be different from that of pure MDMA.

Do you mean strychnine? Tales of drugs cut with that are more urban myths. Please show us the source of your information. Spreading false information is not tolerated here.

SWIM once read a warning article about a certain pill in the netherlands containing strychnine. This is no myth, 15mg can be potentially fatal and the pills had 8mg each.

Hmm about mdma (and cocaine) quality, it depends where your are located. In europe (in Belgium particularly) the situation might be different.

Also, swim noticed that he can still feel the positive effect of the mdma the next day. It's light but pleasant...

About the stomach/bowels debate, at that time (end of the 80's), swim remembered that his source told him that the pill was made in order to be dissolved in the bowel and therefore last much longer.

Swim knows what was said is true. Swim had some blue mitsubishis's that were the greatest swim ever had maybe a month ago. Swim got alot of those at tha time, may never get that again.

I have never heard this before.

Now to the original question SWIM told me the average dose (even if its good shouldn't last more then 6 to 8 hours, and 8 was even pushing a long time. There are several factors that would determine how long it could have effects. Some are quoted above. SWIM told me that

Body weight can be a big difference maker
Tolerance to a chemical can make a big difference
The general feelings of your mind and body
and last, but not least the location you took it in physically and how comfortable you are in that surrounding.
