You're asking two questions, really.

Is it a good Party drug? No. Not really. There are MUCH better drugs to party with - Kratom is kind of inconsistent. The same dose from the same source can be great or produce little to no effect depending on all sorts of factors. The effects are pleasant, but not really balls-out party inducing.

Is it good for social situations? Absolutely. The euphoria is subtle enough to not make conversation difficult, and yet pronounced enough that you're happy to engage in conversation, even if you're normally a bit of a wallflower. The effect is an energetic warmth that's not overwhelming. But it's also present enough to relax into and enjoy yourself.
