Combinations - xanax and wellbutrin (Alprazolam and Bupropion)

SWIM has acquired 2 mg of xanax (alprazolam). He has also been taking 150 mg of wellbutrin for about 2 weeks for depression. He has exprerimented with smaller amounts of xanax and other benzos like lorazepam and temazepam in larger quantities. Will the wellbutrin dull or lessen the effects of the xanax? Also, what is a good dosage for a fun time of someone roughly around 140 pounds with Xanax? I thank all those who answer me in advance.

swim would take it at the end of the day after the wellbutrin has worn off because it has some stimulant propertys. plus youll sleep like a baby.

I take a 1/4 xanax plus a wellbutrin in the morning. Feel great with focus, edgeyness, and just overall wellbeing. Great combo

Bongo does not suffer from depression - aside from the occasional fling like most apes. When Bongo tried Wellbutrin (bupropion) he was first somewhat stimulated (300mg). He had not been depressed prior - but rapidly became extremely so. It was awful and lasted well into the next day.

Be careful with that one.

Bongo's a silly ape, taking an NDRI for non-medicinal purposes. Bupropion has no recreational value, but can be a lifesaver (literally) for certain kinds of depression.

Perhaps - but Bongo was more interested in the fact it's being handed out willy-nilly to people trying to quit smoking tobacco. I'll bet it works great for that - tongue firmly in cheek.

^^^ Actually Nag, it worked a treat.

Only downside was having to be off the fun stuff for 3 months (everything worked fine after that, my flamingo is happy to report).

Hate to sound like an evangelist, but there were NO CRAVINGS at all with bupropion. Giving up smoking was easy. Granted, I felt like shit, completely numb (and yet strangely restless), but it stopped my 20-30 a day habit dead.
