Mushrooms and Stomach/Digestive System Problems

SWIM had very enjoyable 3-4 trips at first but now SWIM has very serious stomach problems every time SWIM eats mushies.Gases (A LOT),diarea(SWIM is not sure how to write this) with which SWIM fights the whole trip until he gets home which makes him really sad.Because its not easy to fight this ,really ! esp for 5-6 hours. Is SWIM alone in his troubles? Has anyone found a way to reduce this feeling of stomach discomfort?

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

mugsirhc, Walking is very hard for my cat too.As if its legs are made of something very very soft. But it is for my cat at least not a bad feeling. But my cat had football history for a long time so muscles are not the problem

SWIM is wondering if extraction of psylocibin or vomiting 1 hour after injesting the shrooms will prevent the stomach problems.
Also SWIM have tried over 4-5 different shrooms and the result is the same.SWIM has the this problems with extazy too

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

yes! swim has heard (only on this forum however) that extraction of psilocybin with everclear will prevent stomach problems. swims ex gf just gave him some everclear for that purpose but needs some mushies

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

SWIM's stomach isn't exactly built for shrooms either. He's ended up vomiting on several trips. No big deal really, just pop into the toilet and get rid of it if your stomach is upset.

He does find though that making mushroom tea seems to reduce any stomach pains. I guess not having to digest raw mushrooms by passing the psilocybin through in liquid form skips the entire upset stomach ordeal.

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

SWIM has felt nausea with mushrooms but it hasn't manifested into bigger problems for him yet. On a somewhat related note SWIM gets a lot of gas on LSD so maybe it's a tryptamine thing?

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

Difficult to tell seeing as using tryptamines generally alters one's sense of smell and touch. It is common however for many of the body's orifices to secrete when using psychedelics. SWIM oftens feels like he has a runny nose or a bit of gunk in the end of his throat during a long acid trip.

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

Swim thinks the thought of the tiny insects, that seem to live in the gills, on the raw liberty caps in swims area is what makes swim feel slightly nauseas but it's very minor. Swim guesses it would be better washing them first but swim eats them right after picking them in the middle of nowhere at times so forgoes the niceties.

Re: Shrooms and stomach problems

hey! swim posted an extraction method, very simple and it didn't appear as swim wrote it, it was censured, or edited so none of the essencial facts on extraction were included. What's going on? there was no personel incrimination just some good facts that swim tried and verified worked. this extreme editing doesn't settle well with swim. has this happened to anyone else? swiy?
