Salvia Divinorum and nostalgia

SWIM has done a couple of salvia trips now, with a couple of decent hits on 10x extract. Both times SWIM reports a very strong feeling of nostalgia, of being welcomed back to somewhere that is real.. more real than this reality. SWIM had a sense of other beings, though they were not seen so much as felt.. and they were telling SWIM to come along, stop messing about, hurry up... in much the same way that a parent would kindly admonish a child.

The thing is, SWIM says that the 'messing about' that he was being told to stop, was actually his existence in *this* reality!

Apart from the strange and very strong sensations of being pulled and stretched, and even sometimes peeled apart, SWIM had the very distinct feeling of being in another reality, much bigger and more real and more VAST in every aspect than this one. SWIM tried to get back to this world, which was visible as though it were a heavy curtain of reality... but despite scampering around on the floor and trying to find the gap in the curtain, there was no way back. However SWIM did not feel this was threatening in any way, it was a weird and sometimes creepy experience, but SWIM had no fear.

On analysing the experience later, SWIM felt that the *other reality* is really where we're at.. and when SWIM went back there the second time, it was like he'd only been away for a moment since the first time. This led SWIM to the theory that being in this reality is like a holiday experience - cheap, shallow, flashy - a quick break from the other place. But when SWIM is done here and goes back to the other place ultimately, only a moment will have passed. This gives an idea of the vast scope of it... its incomprehendable.

But what is the point of it? What message is she trying to get across? The experiences seem to be too strange to analyse and see any pattern or purpose... yet too creepy and deliberate to be "just a trip". Maybe the extracts are too strong, and eating the leaves in their natural state would give an experience which is easier to digest and deal with? Any thoughts?
