Opinions - is a dxm trip similar to a pcp trip?

do they feel the same? swim's friend told him that pcp is sort of like dxm except that dxm is more tame and that pcp is more wild uncontrolled "what the fuck is going on" high. he also said that it is what he imagines injecting dxm would be like. anyone who has tried both would you care to share ?

The reason I believe for PCPs wild nature is mainly because in addition to being an NMDA antagonist (the mechanism for all dissociatives) it is also a fairly strong dopamine reuptake inhibitor (this is what cocaine does). DXM is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor as well, but it is very weak, especially compared to PCP. So a PCP trip can kind of be viewed as a ketamine trip with some coke added to the mix. In addition DXM is also a serotonin reuptake inhibitor which tends to produce feelings of peacefullness (think ecstasy).
