Question about 2C-I

Ok, so last night I tried 2C-I for the first time... Wow it was way more intense than I expected, during the peak at least. Anyway my question is, has anyone ever had feelings while tripping on 2C-I that they aren't having a bad time, or a good time, but that they really felt that it was quite mediocre? There were parts of the trip that I greatly enjoyed, but for plenty of the time I wished it would just go away, something I've never gotten with any other drug. Thoughts?

I sort of know what you mean.

I took it last night (18mg) in a club where the music wasn't the best, and after 2 hours, I wished I'd not taken it as I felt I had 'wasted it'.

I still find it quite random, as you never seem to know which way it'll go next!

It can be really euphoric in clubs, and it can also be a buzz in houses with friends, buzzing off each other, and laughing a lot.

I think the strange feelins you sometimes get is when there's only say yourself or one other person that have done it in a club with you, you sometimes feel isolated and a little bit 'lost'.

I personally haven't had a 'bad time' on it, but I know a few who's heads have gone under on it, and they say the only thing that chills them out is a bit of weed.

2-ci is illegal, I don't think it has ever been legal?!?

2c-i is technically still legal, yes. however the dea is working hard to end that quickly. it's possible they will try to just push it under the analog law.

and yes, you can still get it through a couple sources.... but not from pretty much anybody that was selling before the busts a few months ago.

you're a gold member, look in the sources forum. there are still a couple good ones.

I have but there is so many varies responses about RC's in there I dunno what to believe or where to order from. Its a mad hosue in there I tell ya a mad house.

Hey blue jammer, I did it in a club too (16 mg), with one other person. You're right, I definitely had lots of feelings of isolation and was a bit overwhelmed and "bombarded" by the people in there. I felt like everyone was having a great time, and I would be too if I had just gone sober.

I think perhaps I wasn'tquite ready to do the drug in such a setting. Looking back, I probably should have done a test run at home with a few friends. Well, you live and you learn! Fun or not, it was definitely an experience.

Antidote - just out of interest, what kind of music was it and whereabouts are you in the world?

2-ce is good in clubs, makes the music feel much much warmer, and accentuates every nuance, making you feel every note!

I live in Edmonton, Alberta. That's in western Canada. Mostly, it was house music, predominantly funky house. Dnb in the basement, and a little tiny bit of hardcore. The music wasn't by any means bad, but it was just usual club stuff; I go to the same club about twice a month, so it was nothing too thrilling.

I figured I should go somewhere familiar, I think I was right. If I didn't feel comfortable before ingesting 2C-I, I certainly wouldn't have had much fun!

Hmmm... I'd like tocheck out 2C-E, unfortunately I don't have a source for it... that is until I can get into the sources forum

2C-I is definitely in the "often mediocre" category for me. It just
feels empty and boring after the first few times. 2C-E on the other
hand gets better with each trip. Something about 2C-E allows you to
continue being a learning, evolving individual while tripping on it,
whereas something about 2C-I turns you into kind of a robot. In my
experience anyway. I think Shulgin called 2C-E "The Teacher" for a good
reason.

Does 2C-E give you more of a "mindfuck", that is to say, does it make one more philosophical and cause one to think more and more deeply, a la mushrooms or acid? Thanks!

^^ I think I would say 2C-E makes me a little more philosophical than
2C-I, but in a much different way than either shrooms or acid. 2C-E is
very clear-feeling, for example it is the only hard psychedelic I have
tried that allows me to read a book and pay attention to it, while
still making the act of reading a very different experience. Whereas
with shrooms/acid my mind just wants to wander and explore itself. I
like both types of "mindfuck" for different reasons.



2C-I makes me restless and unable to focus on much of anything.

My friends and I found that 2c-I was "ok" but it put most of us in pain. Anyone that had had some sort of chronic pain..back pain, neck pain, whatever...it made the pain much worse! Even people who had recovered from some old injury years ago...the pain came back! It made my back hurt really bad! Large amounts of vicodin would not get rid of the pain...had to wait till the trip was over..I did do it several times..and it always effected me this way.. I think they should study it to determine how it does this and then somehow find a drug that would reverse the effects, and you would have a new pain relieving drug.

davidd, what sort of back pains were you getting?

dull aches, or sharp stabbing pains?

Curious to know as I use to get pains with pills, but never with an 2c's, they have always been fine!

everyone i know like 2c-i a lot better, they didn't like the high on 2c-e for some reason. i thing 2c-i is more fun but also more intense with visuals. 2c-e i thought was still fun n if swim can get more of both, there gonna mix 25mg of both together n see what that does. should be a fun night

blue jammer, it was like a dull ache, but strong enough to make the trip unpleasant..It's strange, because I was thinking that this drug released seratonin, and that most drugs that release seratonin will reduce your perception of pain.

I took 2-ci twice so far, and both times it was pretty fun. The first time was just chilling with friends at the beach at night and the water and sand was very pretty (even though its kind of an ugly beach), we had good conversations and were telling each other a lot of funny stories. On the train home we were broadcasting some wierd energy, but we pretty much were just acting drunk, I thought. The second time was at a club to hear someelectronicmusic, it definitely made the music more feel-able. However, the venue was more of a bar-type atmosphere with no special lighting to speak of. I was actually wishing that there had been more going on, visually. I think that in terms of the drug influencing me, in the first instance it was more noticeable in its effects and overall impact.

I'll definitely try 2C-I in a non-club setting my next time through. Can't wait!

In reference to the posts about pain, 2C-I (and other phens) can
definitely make you tense up. They activate the noradrenaline
"fight or flight" response and if you have any chronic back pain or
something like that, it can bring it to the forefront. This is one of
the things I just have learned to live with, and/or think past, when i
take psychedelic drugs. It's mind over matter; just r ealize the pain
is due to you being tense or sitting in a weird position, and try
to get up and move around more. It's more when you're trying to sit
still, if you're moving around it's usually fine.

ive sat there knowing i was tripping, watching rocks turn into walrus but i felt completely normal that my thinking patters was fine. Yet at the same time we were talking about how our school was made of blood. Is this like what you mean?

Yeah, 2C-I definitely is what you make of it. If you want to be clear-headed, it is somewhat easy to have an objective view of your hallucinations. EG - Mushrooms: "That tree is moving, it is filled with the spirit of the universe! It is so beautiful!" versus 2C-I "That tree's moving. Pretty cool!". I definitely liked that aspect of this phen.

^^ I feel that is a generalized difference between tryptamines (more
spiritual or dreamlike) and phens (more clearheaded and mental). Maybe
those aren't the right descriptors, but maybe the best way to describe
it is phens are better daytime trips, and tryptamines are better for
nighttime (at least for me.)



Of course within the phen and trypt categories, there is a range, and I
would put 2C-I and 2C-E at the "clear" end of the phen range. 2C-T-7,
for example, is more towards the other end.
