i know that electric wizard is definately gonna be one of my choices, but what other music is good to "float" away 2???

The walkmen are great. I LOVE grandaddy... also the new pornographers have a really awesome alb out right now (i wouldn't say you could float away to it, but it's cool). also check out stereolab, a group of french chicks who have angelic voices and great rhythm.

the orb, massive attack, a perfect circle, to name a few to "float away to". I've got so many i could go on for hours, music is everything IMO

Metallicas "Load" and "Re Load" albums are great to float away on. They're really calm and have a bit of an alternative feel.
