Codiene vs. Hydrocodone?? Potency>>

Well wats good everyone, im new to the site and figured this would be a good first question related to those heavenly drugs we call opiates.

Does anyone know exactly the difference between Codiene, Oxycodone, and Hydrocodone? SWIM has indulged in all them, and has an affair with OC (oxycodone). I know there all chemically related, but if you had to scale them from strongest to weakest howd it go?

Id say:

Oxycodone
Hydrocodone
Codiene

Codeine 30mg = 1/10 = 10MG Morphine
Hrydros 5mg = .6 = 10MG Morphine
Morphine 10mg = 1 = 10MG Morphine
Oxycodone = 15-20x = stronger than 10mg Morphine Sulfate

That's quite a different list than what SWIM usually sees. Most sources seem to say something more like this (assuming oral ingestion):

Codeine: 100mg = 10mg morphine
Hydrocodone: 10mg = 10mg morphine
Oxycodone: 7.5mg = 10mg morphine

thanks everyone fore info, is valuable.

i do know the difference bewteen them and could rate them from weakest to strongest on my own. i know they metablosise to morphine, etc, etc. just didnt know exact translation. thanks for any help.

There are many factors to consider. Especially when you take into account the fact that each person metabolises codeine into morphine with different efficacy.

Actually that'd be 200mg Codeine(oral) is to 10mg Morphine(IM)

good to know the actual dosage though, the other day swim had 4 tylenol 3s. swim them crushed them and let some Cold Water Extraction do the rest. needless to say that was yesterday and today is now and i wish opiates were legal...

exactly... today swim had 200mg and a redose of 100mg punched a stop sign on the way to buy cigarettes.. was nodding and fliping his eyes back to enhance the walk. By the time he got to the store ... he didn't realize that his knuckles were bleeding and started to laugh at the register. Needless to say was a good walk to the store and back... Almost like a dreamlike state because it took such a shorter time than normal.
