Re: Create actual hallucinations?
Apparently one can experience very vivid and complete OEV visuals using ketamine and a stimulant (cannabis can help), which can, to an extent, be controlled. Too much of anything won't help-- just result in loss of consciousness. I'm not sure how special seeing a scorpion wriggling is, unless that had some meaning for SWIK.
If you believe in what you are seeing and its out of control, then that's delirium... |

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
It isn't special in any way other than SWIM wanting to see vivid hallucinations that had nothing to do with surroundings (not distortions), and SWIM's scorpian was exactly that. Delirious or not that's what SWIM wanted to experiance, and got it.

Gotz2 (1) Department of Medicine, New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center, New Rochelle, New York, USA(2) Department of Pharmacy Practice, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USAReceived: 14 November 1984 Accepted: 31 May 1985 Summary Adverse reactions involving the central nervous system have been rarely reported with ranitidine, a H2-receptor antagonist. A 72 year old female is described that developed visual hallucinations shortly after initiation of ranitidine therapy. Rechallenge with the drug resulted in both visual and auditory hallucinations following a single dose. Key words ranitidine - hallucinations - adverse reactions - central nervous system - cimetidine - H2-receptor antagonists also this report is very interesting. http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/...145/2/271b.pdf Last edited by hoodabudda; 27-09-2007 at 18:10. |

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
For genuine hallucinations diphenhydramine with cannabis works just fine.No need for swiy to ingest lots of different things and potentially cause some damage.

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
DXM, dimenhydrinate(or diphen), cannabis, and caffeine are all relatively safe to combine. swim has done so before, however, he is not sure about the lsd.

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
Never mix DXM with an antihistamine (i.e. diphenhydramine).

Anyways, I don't think it is particularly wise to combine a psychedelic with a drug that is known to produce extremely unpleasant side effects (diphenhydramine). |

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
...neither is it a brilliant idea to combine the above, and throw Caffeine into the mix. Caffeine (may, I'm only speaking from anecdotal evidence provided by SWIM) will probably worsen the physical side effects of the Diphenhydramine (shaking, dry mouth, jittery-nervousness, general agitation and possibly in high enough doses palpitations).

Re: Create actual hallucinations?
Apart from the dry-mouth, marijuana seems to get rid of any side effects of diphenhydramine for my pet dragon.
