Percocet is 500 mg Acetaminephine(ie paracetomol) and
5mg Oxycodone(dihydrocodeine), which is indeed an
opiate, and as such is potentially addictive. Be
careful with paracetamol also - in high doses it can
cause liver damage, leading to systemic failure over
48-72 hours. Recommended max dose for paracetamol is
4g/24 hours.

Opiates are chemicals based on the active ingredient in
opium poppies, from which heroin is made. Opiate
withdrawal I'm sure is covered in a lot of posts on the
Site - use the Search Engine.

Tread carefully with opiates - they're really nice, and
a habit can kind of creep up on you...

Oxycodone is expecelly dangerous is far as addition potential and its withdraws are much worse than other opiates. If you're real knew to opiates I'd start with vicodin or codiene. Tolernce builds up really fast so before you know it you have to take twice ot three times as much. Withdraws are hell. All day headaches, stomach camps and just an empty feeling are a few. You cant function without them. In bad cases they last for over a month. Do them on only weekends and you'll be much better off. Hope this helps.
